Open Post: Hosted By “Riverdale” Ending After 7 Seasons

May 19, 2022 / Posted by:

Today The CW announced that Riverdale will end with its seventh season, which will air in early 2023. That explains that sudden breeze I just felt; it’s Lili Reinhart’s agent and manager breathing a giant sigh of relief. The 25-year-old actress, who once compared filming the show to being in prison, was one renewal away from going full Constance Wu.

Another “Riverdale” Actor Compared Filming The Show To Being In Jail

March 1, 2021 / Posted by:

Looks like Riverdale craft services has put dum-dum juice back on the menu because one of the show’s sexy stars has compared filming to being in prison. Again. Or maybe these actors are taking PR advice from Ellen DeGeneres? Either way, unsmart. Last summer it was Lili Reinhart, who plays Betty. She said that having to shoot the show in Canada during the pandemic made her “genuinely feel like a prisoner.” Now Archie Andrews himself, K.J. Apa, has made a similar analogy. K.J. is starring in a movie called Songbird, a sci-fi thriller about COVID-19 (no thank you, please!). He chatted with his co-star, Demi Moore, for Interview Magazine, and said his new movie gig made him feel “free.” Cuz Riverdale = Jail.

Lili Reinhart Compared Filming “Riverdale” In Canada To Prison

September 3, 2020 / Posted by:

Today in: “Celebrities Comparing COVID-19 Restrictions To Prison”, Lili Reinhart compared filming Riverdale in Canada during COVID-times to being a prisoner. Alrighty then! Looks like somebody learned nothing from Ellen DeGeneres. To be fair, though, Ellen’s made a lot of mistakes this year. It’s hard to learn from all of them.

In an interview/photoshoot with Nylon (that first picture is very Grease’s “Beauty School Dropout”), Lili, who also says she might be an empath, explained that going back to Vancouver to film Riverdale means she won’t be able to return to the U.S. until Christmas. That’s when she drops the “prisoner” bomb.

Marisol Nichols From “Riverdale” Is Making A Show About Her Side Gig As An Undercover Sex Trafficking Agent

September 1, 2020 / Posted by:

Here’s a weird one. Marisol Nichols, who, up until recently, played Veronica’s mom on Riverdale, has been an undercover pedo hunter this whole time. I know! They walk among us!

Marisol revealed her double life in May’s issue of Marie Claire. Now her story is being turned into a TV series (fictional, not just a reboot of To Catch A Predator) by Sony Pictures Television. She’ll executive produce and “likely star”, according to Deadline.

Cole Sprouse Claims The Sexual Assault Allegations Against Several “Riverdale” Cast Members Were Made Up

June 22, 2020 / Posted by:

Usually, when Cole Sprouse’s name is trending on Twitter, it’s either because his on-again/off-again relationship with Lili Reinhart is back on-again/off-again, or a particularly funny clip from The Suite Life of Zack & Cody went viral. Over the weekend, Cole’s name was trending, but not in the way he’d want to see it. A Twitter user had accused Cole of sexual assault after allegedly meeting him at a party back in 2013, when he was attending NYU. Not long after, several of Cole’s Riverdale fellow cast members also got dragged into allegations of sexual misconduct on Twitter. It looked like Twitter users sharing alleged stories, but Cole says all that Twitter activity is nothing but lies.

The Creator Of “Riverdale” Agrees That The Show Can Do More For Black Representation

June 5, 2020 / Posted by:

A few days ago, Vanessa Morgan, of The CW series Riverdale, dragged her own show because of its treatment of Black characters. She exposed how she was paid the least of the series regulars and complained about how bad the Black characters were on the show. Well, Riverdale responded and it’s hard to defend the social-depth of a show where a white teenager is sent to jail and it’s portrayed as a slightly-gruff, homoerotic bootcamp. (It’s like 60 Days In but at Abercrombie & Fitch.) The creator hears Vanessa and agrees.
