Cole Sprouse And Lili Reinhart Have Reportedly Broken Up
The real-life “Bughead”, AKA Lily Reinhart and Cole Sprouse’s love, is deader than Jason Blossom’s waterlogged corpse! Time to head on down to La Bonne Nuit and drown your sorrows in some maple syrup-infused Lodge rum (help me, I’ve seen every episode of Riverdale).
Cole, 27, and Lili, 23, have been dating since 2017, the same year Riverdale premiered. But unlike their nonsense show, this relationship will reportedly not be returning for another season.
These two allegedly split last summer, before getting back together a few months later. Then, recent rumors suggested they broke up again, and that Cole was hooking up with Kaia Gerber (he sort of shot that shit down in an Instagram story). But now a source has confirmed the split, telling Page Six that Lili and Cole broke up before the coronavirus pandemic, and have been quarantining separately.
The news follows Cole’s onscreen daddy, Skeet Ulrich (who recently quit the show because he was bored), hinting at their break up on an Instagram Live with his 25-year-old girlfriend, Megan Blake Irwin:
Someone asked the 50-year-old actor: “Do you think that Cole Sprouse and Lili Reinhart are a cute couple?”
“I think they were a very cute couple,” Skeet responded. Then Irwin added, “They were a very cute couple,” emphasizing the word “were.” “They’re both beautiful people,” she said.
Lili and Cole haven’t officially confirmed the news, but obviously a Skeet Ulrich Instagram Live is totally sacred. So I choose to believe they’re over.
Lili previously said Cole was loyal and had good dick game.
Lili and Cole still have to rub up on each other as their on-screen counterparts, Betty and Jughead. Unless Lili and Cole demand their characters break up too. Oh no, what will Bughead shippers do? Probably make more insane videos like this one.
