Scarlett Johansson Told A Story About Woody Allen Being Unprofessional And Talked About Being “Groomed” To Be A “Bombshell”

December 14, 2022 / Posted by:

Well, it finally happened. One of Woody Allen’s last remaining muses has turned on him. In a new interview for her agent’s husband’s new podcast Table for Two, Scarlett Johansson ripped Woody a new one, effectively ensuring that he’ll never work in this town again! While discussing her experience working with Woody on the Barcelona set of Vicky Cristina Barcelona (FYI “he’s untouchable there,” “God-level” even), Scarlett revealed that Woody is such a goof; he once made the crew work overtime because his own hilarious dick joke so amused him, he couldn’t stop laughing. And since respecting the crew is Scarlett’s #1 priority after getting that bag and giving her name as “guest whenever she accompanies her husband Colin Jost to various awards shows, she really let Woody have it, admitting that because of his “giggles, giggles, giggles,” the resulting take that ended up in the film is “really not great.” OK, so it’s like #3.

Gal Gadot Will Be Playing Cleopatra, So Naturally, Opinions Have Been Expressed

October 12, 2020 / Posted by:

Deadline reports that Paramount Pictures has won the right to mount a probably cursed production of Cleopatra starring Gal Gadot with Wonder Woman’s Patty Jenkins directing. Patty and Gal will also be producers on the movie. Deadline says of Gal that “the film was her idea” which is crazy because I’m pretty sure it’s been done before. And of course, since Gal isn’t the actual mummified corpse of Cleopatra, people have expressed strong opinions online about her suitability for the role. Nevertheless, it turns out that the whole time Gal was singing Imagine, she wasn’t imagining a world free from disease and strife, she was imagining being The Queen of a world full of disease and strife. Side note: That Imagine video was posted on March 19th, DAY 6 of lockdown in California. It is now day 209. Carry on if you are able.

Disney Postponed A Bunch Of Movies Including Steven Spielberg’s “West Side Story”

September 23, 2020 / Posted by:

It’s days like today that I miss shirking all my responsibilities and taking myself for a sneaky matinee the most. Sadly, it’s just not an option right now and god knows when it will ever be again. Variety confirms that there’s really no reason for anyone to be putting their phone in airplane mode anytime soon since Disney (which owns damn near everything), has postponed a whole bunch theatrical release dates, most into next year. While it is decidedly “bad news for the exhibition industry,” at least it gives moviegoers an entire year to forget those pesky sexual assault allegations against Ansel Elgort because West Side Story is now scheduled to come out next December.
