I’m pretty sure as the holidays sneak up on us, Mariah Carey is preparing her vocal cords to belt out All I Want For Christmas Is You for the ga-jillionth time. However, this year she plans on giving herself the gift that keeps on giving; a trademark.  Recently, Mariah spoke of filing for legal rights over the term Queen of Christmas. However, two other lady singers, Darlene Love and Elizabeth Chan, have also been associated with the term Queen of Christmas and they are not going to allow Mariah and her Grinch-like ways to capitalize on a term she has no direct rights to.

The pandemic-era Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade happened today, and honestly, they should’ve just brought out the iconic duo Spider-Man tossing Uncle Sam’s salad and called it a day since 2020 can eat all of our unwashed asses. But the socially-distanced show went on and featured non-kicking Rockettes, lip-synching woes, a performance from the Midwestern Rent known as Jagged Little Pill, and a trio of legends: THEE Dolly Parton, THEE Darlene Love, and THEE Patti LaBelle!

Darlene Love Is Mad That The Producers Of “Christmas At Rockefeller” Hired Someone Else To Sing Her Christmas Song

Rock and Roll Hall of Famer and all around musical legend Darlene Love has been dissed! Call your aunties, call your friends, call the authorities, call Patti LaBelle! This cannot stand! Darlene sang background vocals on dozens of hits in the ‘60s, was more recently featured in the documentary 20 Feet From Stardom, and was a staple on Late Night With David Letterman where she performed her holiday hit Christmas Baby, Please Come Home for decades. In a post on Facebook, Darlene called out Brad Lachman Productions for passing her over, yet again, for the chance to sing CBPCH on NBC‘s annual “Christmas at Rockefeller Center” special. Instead, she says they invited younger artists “who can’t even hit the notes properly and are off key” to sing her song. She’s livid. I’m livid. Everybody should be livid. And to those “younger artists” who just had their ass handed to them by Darlene, give thanks. You’ve just been Love’d!
