The hearing, which will continue the rest of the week, will determine whether or not there’s enough probable cause to order a trial against Danny. 45-year-old Danny is accused of raping three women, one of whom took to the stand yesterday to tearfully testify that, eighteen years, she woke up to Danny raping her. Four years ago, the LAPD opened an investigation into Danny Masterson over accusations of rape due to several women coming forward with allegations of sexual assault. The investigation resulted in Danny being charged with three counts of rape last June. Since then, it’s taken a long time to get to trial, with situational wrenches being thrown into things, like his civil case being ordered into religious arbitration, due to the fact that his three victims were members of the Church of Scientology and signed documents holding them to the church’s legal process. Accused rapist Danny Masterson has an arraignment scheduled for Wednesday, January 6th to face criminal charges for allegedly raping three women, Chrissie Carnell Bixler and two Jane Does. For those charges, he’s facing a sentence of 45 years-to life if convicted. He’s also fighting a civil case brought by those women, plus another, Marie Bobette Riales. However, with the help of a rich, well-connected uncle named David Miscavage, People reports that the civil case has been ordered to “religious arbitration” because Chrissie and the Janes Doe all signed something when they were members of COS. The New York Times reports that Danny “was arrested on Wednesday morning and was later released on statutory bail” which was set at $3.3 million (of which Danny needed to pay 10% of, in cash). Now, anti-Alien Space Magic Cult spokeswoman Leah Remini, who was instrumental in helping to get these charges filed, says Scientology’s “days of getting away with it [are] coming to an end!” And man does that “it” runs deep.
