A Source Claims That Tom Brady Didn’t Want To Get Divorced From Gisele Bundchen And Would’ve Done Anything To Make It Work

Seen above smiling and busting a boner in his pants after probably picturing Gisele Bundchen as a giant football with chichis and a MAGA hat, Tom Brady is legally single now. But Tom’s reportedly not happy about that since he never wanted his 13-year marriage tossed into the dumpster next to the clue that he desperately needs to get. Sources tell People that Tom has the sads over his marriage to Gis ending and that he would’ve done “whatever it took” to make it work. Um, either the source or Tom needs to look up what that really means because if Tom ever serenaded Gis with a song, it would be I Would Do Anything For Gis (But I Won’t Quit Football).

For months, we heard that Tom and Gisele’s marriage was dying like his tastebuds whenever he smells a strawberry. And just when I thought that they were going to pull a Brangelina and drag their split into the next decade: BOOM, they were done. Their divorce was finalized on the same day that Gisele filed, thanks to the two working out their money and child custody situation beforehand. Page Six says that they were able to work shit out quickly because they signed an “ironclad prenup” when they got married in 2009. They’ve kept their business stuff separate throughout their marriage, so “the separation of their wealth wasn’t that complicated in the end.” They have agreed to joint custody of their children, 12-year-old Benjamin and 9-year-old Vivian. Tom will live in Tampa for his job, while Gis and the kids will live in Miami, where she recently bought a $1.25 million house that Page Six says she’s going to use as an office. But according to People’s sources, Tom didn’t want any of this!

We heard over and over again that Tom and Gis’ primary marriage woe was that she was sick of their family being the side piece to his main piece, the NFL. And when Tom unretired from the NFL earlier this year, that was apparently it for Gisele, and she hit him with an ultimatum. We know how that went. Tom briefly talked about his divorce on his podcast, saying that the split was “amicable.” But Tom doesn’t have to say much when sources are talking for him. A source says that divorce was never Tom’s idea.

Before Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen finalized their divorce on Friday, the superstar quarterback was prepared to do “whatever it took to make things work,” a source a close to Brady tells PEOPLE. “This was not Tom’s idea,” says the insider of the couple’s decision to divorce. “This was never Tom’s idea.”

Brady, 45, “wanted to do whatever he needed to do to fix things” with Bündchen, 42 because he “didn’t want the divorce and he didn’t want the marriage to end.” The source says that Brady was “willing to go to therapy, marriage counseling — whatever it took to make things work.”

The source went on to say that Tom also wanted to work things out for the sake of his kids with Gis. As we know, Tom also shares a son, 15-year-old Jack, with Bridget Moynahan. But when Tom finally tried to fix things, Gisele was already done with his ass.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback reportedly “didn’t want the kids to have divorced parents; he wanted to work this out.”

The source says that “near the end” of their marriage, Brady “was trying to make things work, and to make things right.” But Bündchen felt that “it was a little bit too little, too late,” the source says. “She gave him a lot of opportunities to fix things, and he didn’t.” Brady was “busy following his passion” during their 13-year marriage, which the source says “is good” for him, but it ultimately left the model feeling that “he wasn’t hearing what she was saying.”

Based on the rumors and what Gisele herself said, it sounds like Tom could’ve fixed things, at least temporarily, by re-retiring from the NFL and staying home. But I’m sure that now that Tom has football all to himself, he’ll find happiness again. In the meantime, someone get him an ass to munch and a water slide to go “weeeeeeeeee” on.
