Chrissy Teigen Brushed Off The Rumor That She’s Doing An Interview With Oprah Winfrey

June 22, 2021 / Posted by:

Chrissy Teigen’s career has been in a less-than-ideal place over the past month or so. Cyberbullying a teenage Courtney Stodden might have been fun for Chrissy back in 2011, but it’s not in 2021. Chrissy has seen her cookware line dropped by Macy’s, Target, and Bloomingdales. She’s also lost a voice-over gig on Netflix’s Never Have I Ever, and stepped away from her recently-launched cleaning product company with Kris Jenner. There was a rumor that Chrissy was trying to orchestrate the damage control move to end all damage control stunts, by sitting down for a tell-all with Oprah Winfrey. That would make the most sense, because really, how many more long-ass apologies can you post to Medium.com? But when Chrissy was recently asked about that alleged Oprah interview, she didn’t have much to add besides an awkwardly vague giggle.

Sources claimed last week that Chrissy was being advised to hide out and keep quiet for the time being, but that that wasn’t her “style.” Her style is, allegedly, to grab some attention, via a tasteful one-on-one with Oprah. Those same sources claimed that Chrissy didn’t want to pull an Ellen DeGeneres, aka ignore the allegations until it’s too late, and that she believes she can talk her way out of this mess. Several curious photographers caught up with Chrissy as she arrived at her office on Monday. Photographers asked her about the possible Oprah interview, and Chrissy wouldn’t confirm the Oprah interview gossip, but she didn’t exactly deny it either. via TMZ:

Photogs got Chrissy as she arrived at her office Monday and asked her if she’s really going to sit down with O. She says she doesn’t know if that’s happening, or at least that’s how she makes it seem.

Photographers also asked her about the possibility of a three-way interview with herself, Oprah, and Courtney Stodden. Courtney has previously pitched that they should join Chrissy’s potential interview with Oprah since they’re the victim here. Courtney said that they thought it would be really interesting for Chrissy to talk it out with Oprah, and added that they would love to share their story too because it might help other victims of cyberbullying. Chrissy might not be as interested in that idea as Courtney is.

As we reported…Courtney wants in on Chrissy’s possible interview with O, seeing as she was the victim of Chrissy’s cyberbullying before the latest round of claims from Michael Costello and others…Chrissy appeared to laugh off [that] suggestion from Courtney Stodden.

To be fair, Chrissy probably laughed it off, because that’s kind of the definition of putting the cart before the horse. How in the world is Chrissy supposed to invite Courtney to join her Oprah interview if she doesn’t even have Courtney’s contact information? Chrissy allegedly hasn’t even been able to find a way to contact Courtney to offer up a sincere, personal apology. So let’s not get ahead of ourselves here, one step at a time. Plus, Chrissy has to focus on her own potential interview with Oprah, if that’s something that does end up happening. Chrissy needs to practice how to look truly remorseful for when Oprah pinches her fingers, attempts to go Round 2 with that meme, and asks her, “When it comes to the DMs, were you a threat or were you threatening?
