Bethenny Frankel Pulled An “I Don’t Know Her” When Asked If She Yelled At Sunny Hostin’s Kid
Last week on The View, Whoopi Goldberg played a clip from a recent episode of The Real Housewives of New York in which Bethenny Frankel confronts Luanne De Lesseps, accusing Luanne of not supporting her after her boyfriend Dennis Shields died of a drug overdose last year. Bethenny was pissed, because she thought Luanne would return the favor after Bethenny gave her support while Luanne was in rehab. Bethenny was all kinds of wound-up, which could have been the grief or the alcohol or both. Whoopi asked if Bethenny was overdoing it when she flew off the handle on Luanne. Meghan McCain defended Bethenny, saying that grief can do that to a person. Sunny Hostin wasn’t so sympathetic.

There are few things more American than the enduring tradition of daytime talk show Halloween hi-jinks. You take a bunch of middle-aged talking heads, a squad of professional makeup artists and costume designers, and a squealing studio audience; put ‘em in a pop culture blender on puree and voila! Whoopi Goldberg dressed as a purple baby vampire. And there’s no getting out of it at this point. It’s a whole thing now, everybody must participate. Do you think Ryan Seacrest enjoys sitting in a makeup chair for three hours and getting cinched up in a corset? I don’t know his life! But he does it whether he likes it or not.
