Alec Baldwin Says The “Rust” Lawsuits Are Only Targeting Rich People
Nothing, and I mean nothing, is going to stop Alec Baldwin from speaking his truth — Not tact, not common decency, not his legal team, and certainly not his wife. Get Alec within spitting distance of a microphone and be prepared to be peppered with the truth. Well, his truth. The Hollywood Reporter reports that Alec’s truth is that the people who are filing lawsuits pertaining to the on-set shooting death of Rust cinematographer Halyna Hutchins and the wounding of director Joel Souza are targeting innocent non-negligent “deep-pocket litigants” like himself instead of “the people who likely seem negligent” but “have no money.” Poor people, just walking around all reckless and broke. Gross. Couldn’t be him. (only it could. And soon, fingers crossed!)
Alec Baldwin May Have Responded To Halyna Hutchins’ Husband Calling Him Out
Yesterday Halyna Hutchins’ widower, Matt Hutchins, went on TODAY to discuss his wife’s horrific accidental shooting death on the set of Rust. Matt, who’s one of the people suing Alec Baldwin for Hylana’s wrongful death, told Hoda Kotb that watching Alec’s December interview with ABC News made him feel “so angry.” Matt says he thinks Alec is playing the victim and shifting the blame to everybody but himself.
Alec, who was starring in and producing Rust, has yet to publicly respond to Matt’s interview (“Thank Christ” -Alec’s lawyers), but he did tweet an ambiguous Buddha quote. About how one should not “tell a deliberate lie, even in jest.” Later Alec tweeted a follow-up, explaining that, in Buddhism, “being truthful goes beyond simply not telling lies.” Heh? OK, Alec, what did Buddha think about punching a photographer? Refusing to stop playing Words with Friends so an airplane can take off? Leaving a voicemail calling your daughter a “thoughtless little pig”?
Halyna Hutchins’ Husband Is “So Angry” That Alec Baldwin Refuses To Take Responsibility For The “Rust” Shooting
We’ve heard a lot from Alec Baldwin regarding what allegedly went down on the New Mexico set of the film Rust, which left cinematographer Halyna Hutchins dead after Alec’s gun was discharged while pointed at her. We’ve heard from Alec many times. Over and over. But now it’s time to hear from Halyna Hutchins’ widower, Matt Hutchins, who also happens to be one of the people suing Alec Baldwin for the wrongful death of his late wife. Matt sat down with Hoda Kotb and TODAY to discuss the horrific event that took his wife’s life. But also, he managed to find the time to let us all know what he thinks of Alec Baldwin’s damage control tour. And let’s just say, Matt’s not buying much of it.
The D.A. In The “Rust” Investigation Says That Alec Baldwin Might Not Have Pulled The Trigger On The Gun
The ongoing investigation into the fatal shooting on the set of Rust continues to teeter on “Alec Baldwin pulled the trigger, Alec Baldwin did not technically pull the trigger.” Recently, the Santa Fe, New Mexico District Attorney spoke about the current state of the investigation, and they’re saying that technically speaking, Alec might not have actually fired the gun that went off during rehearsals and killed cinematographer Halyna Hutchins.
Halyna Hutchins’ Family Has Sued Alec Baldwin And Others For Wrongful Death
The family of late cinematographer Halyna Hutchins is suing Alec Baldwin for wrongful death for his involvement in the tragic accidental shooting on the set of Rust back in October. The lawsuit claims Alec “recklessly shot and killed Halyna Hutchins.” It’s not just Alec who’s being sued; defendants also include armorer Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, assistant director David Hall, a bunch of production companies, and the company that provided the ammunition. Despite Alec’s interview claim that he never pulled the trigger on the gun that killed Halyna, the suit is saying he did. They allege that Alec pulling the trigger, plus many, many lapses in safety on-set, led to Halyna’s death.
Alec Baldwin Finally Turns Over His Phone, While Hilaria Baldwin Uses Her Phone To Post His Weird Drawings
Authorities in Santa Fe, New Mexico are still trying to figure out what happened on the set of Rust back in October, that left director of photography Halyna Hutchins dead and director Joel Souza injured. As such, a warrant was issued last month for Alec Baldwin’s phone. Alec was holding the weapon at the time it was discharged, and investigators want to see Alec’s text messages, emails, and web search history. But Alec had been keeping his phone to himself. That is, until now. Alec has reportedly turned over his phone. Thankfully he can always use his wife’s phone in the meantime. You know, when she’s not busy Instagramming Alec’s creepy drawings.
