Harvey Weinstein‘s trial in New York ended yesterday with the jury convicting him of two of the five sex crime charges. They found him guilty of the third-degree rape of Jessica Mann and a first-degree criminal sexual act against Mimi Haley. But the jury found him not guilty of two predatory charges and the first-degree rape of Jessica.
Harvey, who still faces charges in Los Angeles, didn’t actually even make it to lock-up after his conviction and was instead taken to the hospital after complaining of chest pains. The Harvey Weinstein Verdict Is In: Guilty Of Third Degree Rape And Criminal Sexual Act
Harvey Weinstein‘s slow destruction has come to end, in New York anyway. Harvey was on trial in New York for predatory sexual assault, first and third-degree rape, and for a criminal sex act. He’s been hobbling into court with a walker and now we know if his sad, frail, could-never-rape-anyone act, I mean, totally real back pain suffering got him some sympathy from jurors. And it may have, because WTF. Last week, the jury let the judge know they were hung on two predatory sexual assault charges, unlike Harvey who no one would describe as hung. The judge told them to keep deliberating. And now the verdict is in and he’s been found guilty of criminal sexual act and third-degree rape and not guilty of first degree rape or the predatory sexual assaults.

Harvey Weinstein’s sexual assault case is coming to an end in NYC. The defense rested its case without calling Harvey to testify. But I guess they don’t need Harvey putting on a “woe is me” act on the stand when he can do so off the stand with help from a walker. Many have accused Harvey of pulling a Bill Cosby by acting all frail and sickly to get the jury to think, “How can we send one of Ursula’s polyps to prison?!” But well, Harvey is telling reporters that the walker is not a prop. He really is a wobbly mess.

So, we’ve already had Harvey Weinstein’s genitals and blackhead situation described for us in detail in testimony given during his current rape trial. It was difficult, but after deleting the garlic bulb and chocolate chip emojis from our phones, we were able to sleep, and maybe even enjoy the weekend a little, though still haunted by the specter of what we learned from one of Harvey’s accusers, Jessica Mann. For those of us who are, blissfully, not personally connected with the Weinstein trial, Friday’s revelation was the worst of it in terms of hearing about his genitals.
