Taylor Swift dropped her Lover album this past Friday, and part of her press blitz this time around is to open up about politics and injustice in the world. If you’ll recall, Taylor kept her blonde mouth shut back in the day (circa the 2016 presidential election) and merely encouraged us to vote. Times have changed. She recently did an interview with Vogue where she came out as pro-choice, explained why it took her so long to publicly support the LGBTQ community, and said she would have endorsed Hillary Clinton. And then did another interview with The Guardian (via People)and unleashed on the Troll-In-Chief. In the same interview, she also revealed her thoughts on Harvey Weinstein. A Judge Ruled That Preliminary Hearings For Harvey Weinstein’s Upcoming Rape Trial Will Be Closed
Remember this asshole? Harvey Weinstein’s trial for sexual assault is moving forward, but according to Page Six, we’re not going to be privy to an upcoming pre-trial hearing which “focuses on whether evidence of Weinstein’s bad behavior for which he is not charged will be admitted at trial”. During a preliminary hearing today, a judge decided to keep that hearing sealed and the courtroom under wraps, which is what attorneys for the prosecution and the defense wanted, but for different reasons.
