Stevie Wonder Announced He’s Getting A Kidney Transplant This Year
No need to panic over seeing Stevie Wonder trending. He’s very much still alive and he hasn’t been accused of anything gross. But he has been sick and, according to the Detroit Free Press, in an effort to stave off any rumors of his imminent demise, he recently announced that he is scheduled to have a kidney transplant in September. Luckily, before I had a chance to call him up to offer him one of mine, he also announced that he’s already secured a donor. I’m sure he had tens of thousands to choose from. Who wouldn’t want to be kidney-twins with Stevie Wonder?!
John Singleton Is Reportedly In A Coma After Suffering A Stroke
Over the weekend, we learned the awful news that Oscar-nominated director John Singleton was in the hospital after having a stroke. We were told that the stroke was a “minor” one and it seemed like he was going to recover. But it seems like sources got things wrong, sadly, and John’s stroke wasn’t so minor. TMZ has now updated the awful news about John with worse news. They say he’s in a coma.
Whoopi Goldberg Said She’s Been Absent From “The View” Because She Almost Died From Pneumonia
I’m sure many regular watchers of The View are thankful that Whoopi Goldberg has been absent from her hosting duties for the past several weeks, because what we don’t need right now is Whoopi’s hot take on Michael Jackson considering how long it took her to come around on Cosby. But what we need even less is for Whoopi to die, which she almost did! Whoopi’s been out sick since February 6th, and in a video message that was played on the show today, she said that she’s been recovering from pneumonia, and that she almost died. As ridiculous as she is, Whoopi’s an icon who’s brought joy to millions, and we can’t afford to lose any more of those at this time.
Wendy Williams Isn’t Coming Back To Her Show Any Time Soon
Sad to say, things aren’t looking up for Wendy Williams. When she announced she was taking a break to take care of her broken shoulder, she said she would return on January 21st. That’s just a couple of days from now, but Wendy’s not going to make it. A “Note From The Hunter Family” was posted on Twitter which explains that Wendy’s going to need more time than she thought, and that she would need to be spend “significant time” in the hospital to treat complications from Graves’ Disease. Wendy’s been off her game for a while, initially blaming her shoulder injury and subsequent pain mediation for her slurring, and her thyroid condition for her frequent need to sit down. Still, friends were worried something else might be going on. And it sounds as if they had every reason to be.
Selena Gomez Has Checked Into A Mental Health Facility After A Breakdown
Last month, Selena Gomez announced she was taking a break from magazine interviews and social media for the sake of her own sanity. Now it’s being reported that Selena has decided to take a break from her life in general in an attempt to recharge her batteries and get healthy after having a rough couple of weeks. According to TMZ, Selena has been in and out of the hospital recently, and she’s currently checked into a mental health facility.
Demi Lovato Is Doing Well, Receiving Visitors And Will Probably Head Directly To Rehab
There’s more good news about Demi Lovato. As previously reported, she doing well and is awake and responsive. And it looks as if Demi, who was hospitalized two days ago for an apparent drug overdose, will likely be heading to rehab as soon as she gets out of the hospital. That’s what her family is currently making plans for. According to Entertainment Tonight, Demi’s family is actively looking for a rehab facility she can check into right away.
