Asia Argento Says Her “xXx” Director Rob Cohen Drugged And Sexually Assaulted Her In 2002
Asia Argento was on the vanguard of the first wave of the #MeToo movement when she came forward with some of the first public allegations against Harvey Weinstein who is now, quite possibly, literally rotting away in prison. But things got messy for Asia when she herself became the subject of allegations of a sexual assault against her young (17 to her 37) co-star Jimmy Bennett following the death by suicide of her then-boyfriend Anthony Bourdain and subsequent falling out with former ally Rose McGowan. At that time she said she was launching into “Phase Two of the #MeToo movement” in which “a victim who has some negative history should have the courage to come forward and say ‘me too, I was a victim of sexual assault’ and whatever might color my past does not negate the truth of what happened to me.” As such, Asia has come forward once again with an allegation that she was drugged and sexually assaulted by director Rob Cohen in 2002 while they were filming xXx. I know it’s a little late but trigger warnings aplenty ahead.
The Sexual Assault Case Against Asia Argento Hasn’t Gone Anywhere Yet
Just the other day I was wondering what was going on in the case against Asia Argento by Jimmy Bennett, who accused her of sexually assaulting him in 2013 when he was 17 and she was 37. And after I remembered the case and the details, I dropped some sandpaper into my Vitamix, blended it up until it was powder, and then used a funnel to pour it into my ear hole so that I could sandblast that dark-sidedness from my brain. But there’s an update, and the update is that Jimmy hasn’t yet filed a police report and investigators haven’t been able to get a hold of him, so the case is stalled.

Asia Argento is in the news again, but thankfully not because of any underage boys. It’s underage boys adjacent but not directly related.
You’ll remember that Rose McGowan and Asia bonded over getting allegedly abused by Harvey Weinstein and the #MeToo movement. Then things soured for them when Asia was accused of sexually assaulting an underage boy named Jimmy Bennet. Things continued to get worse between the two of them, with Rose’s partner Rain Dove giving text messages from Asia about the incident to the police. Then Rose really snapped and went ahead and accused Asia of lying, which she was eventually forced to retract.
According to Us Weekly, Asia wasn’t satisfied with the apology since she thinks that Rose’s words affected her career and the allegations of pedophilia which have followed her after all this came to light. And to show us how seriously mad she is, Asia went out and got herself a tattoo to commemorate the moment in her life she was accused of being a pedophile by her bestie. As one does.
Rose McGowan Has Retracted The Statements She Made About Asia Argento
After Asia Argento was accused of sexually assaulting 17-year-old Jimmy Bennett back in 2013 when Asia was 37 (a situation Asia continues to claim she’s the real victim of), her former friend Rose McGowan had some accusations of her own. Specifically, the implication that Asia had been sexting with Jimmy when he was as young as 12. Asia was not happy about what Rose had to say, and she threatened to sue Rose for libel. In a move I like to call “How to avoid a libel lawsuit 101,” Rose has decided that the things she said about Asia aren’t things she wanted to say, and has issued and official retraction.

Yesterday Asia revealed that she was very angry after learning her boyfriend Anthony Bourdain took his own life.
