Colton Underwood Doesn’t Want To Sign A Prenup With His Fiancé

Last week former football player/virgin Bachelor disaster Colton Underwood announced his engagement to political strategist Jordan C. Brown. The two haven’t been dating a particularly long time; 30-year-old Colton only came out as gay last spring, and he and Jordan, 39, went Instagram-official at the end of 2021. But true love has no timeline. It also doesn’t have a prenup. Yep, the couple has no interest in signing a prenuptial agreement, because Colton says they’re “in it for the long haul.” Awww, that’s the kind of blind Christian optimism that inspires a closeted gay man to sign on to The Bachelor!

Colton dropped the prenup info during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live!. He told Andy Cohen, via ET Canada:

“We’ve already had this conversation. We’re in it for the long haul,” Underwood said. “I know you guys have opinions on prenups, but… we don’t want to put those vibes out there.” Coming back from a commercial break, host Andy Cohen said that reaction on social media was “outraged” at Underwood’s answer, but the reality star didn’t seem bothered at all.

Colton also shared that he and Jordan want a big wedding, but they may have to wait because of all the COVID delays:

“It’s what — three years backed up now because of COVID?” he said. “I want a good wedding. We need a venue and venues are backed up. We’re [going big].”

And I’m sure reality cameras will be there to capture every single moment of the festivities. Colton also addressed that Billy Eichner moment on his season of The Bachelor. Around the 2:14 mark, Billy jokes to (a then-closeted) Colton that “maybe you’re the first gay Bachelor and we don’t even know!”:

Andy asked Colton about his inner reaction to Billy’s joke during one of Watch What Happens Live!’s sadistically shady “games,” and Colton said he was filled with “pure panic”:

Well, hopefully, Colton’s decision not to get a prenup won’t come back to bite him in the ass. Hell, maybe he and Jordan really will be in it for the long haul! It’s not like Colton has a history of messy relationships that end with the police getting involved.
