Maddox Jolie Has Reportedly Testified Against Brad Pitt

Only a few days ago, it was reported that Angelina Jolie was prepared to take her custody battle with Brad Pitt to Level 4: The Bridge is Now Ashes, by showing the court proof of domestic violence. Well, it’s like people always say – where there’s smoke, there’s likely to be a burned-up bridge somewhere close by. Because Us Weekly is saying that 19-year-old son Maddox Jolie-Pitt has testified against Brad, in a way that only further establishes how allegedly damaged their relationship might be.

This all started back in 2016 when Brad Pitt and a then-15-year-old Maddox got into a fight on a private jet. That fight resulted in the FBI investigating Brad for child abuse. Many have implied that the alleged private jet fight was the motivating factor for Angelina to file divorce papers. Us Weekly doesn’t know what Maddox specifically said in his testimony, whether it was about that alleged fight or just his general relationship with Brad. But, based on the fact that UsWeekly’s source has specifically pointed out that Maddox allegedly wants the hyphen and the “Pitt” removed from his name, you can sort of guess the energy he was bringing to his testimony.

“Maddox has already given testimony as [an] adult in the ongoing custody dispute and it wasn’t very flattering toward Brad,” a source exclusively tells Us Weekly. “He doesn’t use Pitt as his last name on documents that aren’t legal and instead uses Jolie. Maddox wants to legally change his last name to Jolie, which Angelina has said she doesn’t support.”

Whatever was said, Brad’s lawyers could try to argue that the FBI cleared him of any wrongdoing and that nothing else has happened since. The source added:

“The Los Angeles Department of Children and Family Services cleared him of any child abuse allegations almost immediately,” the insider tells Us. “The case remained open out of an abundance of caution because the department took the matter seriously, and in the almost two years of monitored visitation, there was not one instance that caused any alarm bells to go off.”

Brad is seeking 50-50 joint, legal, and physical custody of five of the Jolie-Pitt children. Not Maddox, of course, because he’s 19. Maddox has known Brad since he was about 4 years old. Brad got with Angelina in 2005, and legally adopted him in 2006. Ten years later is when Angelina filed for divorce, and Maddox’s relationship with Brad started to dissolve.

This isn’t all bad news for Brad. As reported previously, Brad has called one of Angelina’s former co-stars as a witness. But…it’s still probably pretty bad to have your son testify against you about how you might be a less-than-ideal father figure. And I don’t really know how you come back from that kind of testimony. Everyone involved was probably sitting around thinking: “This situation is a mess because even Angelina thinks he should keep the Pitt part of his last name, and she hates the guy.”
