Brad Pitt Is Calling One Of Angelina Jolie’s Former Costars As A Witness In Their Custody Trial

It’s time for the gloves to come off in the custody battle between Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt. Yes, this whole time it’s been a series of relatively polite glove strikes (silk for her, leather for him) but it’s about to get bare-knuckle Tyler Durden VS dragon-fire Maleficent up in this bitch. I hope those kids, Pax, 16, Zahara, 15, Shiloh, 14, Knox and Vivienne, 12, (at 19, Maddox has aged out of the system) appreciate just how far their parents are willing to go to prove their love to them. According to Us Weekly, their custody trial is scheduled to begin on October 5th, and Brad’s witness list has just been released. Curiously, it includes actor Jillian Armenante, who co-starred with Angie in both Girl, Interrupted and A Mighty Heart. Going into The Thunderdome, Brad is seeking 50/50 joint physical and legal custody, and Angie remains “unagreeable,” which I guess is a bespoke word made up just for Angelina! Yes, she’s THAT fancy.

According to Us:

The big guns? Brad Pitt’s lawyers intend to call on one of Angelina Jolie’s former costars during the exes’ upcoming custody trial.

The 56-year-old actor’s witness list was filed on September 21. While Pitt plans to testify and have his attorneys cross-examine Jolie, 45, he also wants the actress’ Girl, Interrupted costar Jillian Armenante to take the stand.

We don’t yet know why Jillian is on the witness list. She is joined by “a slew of psychologists, a therapist, and security consultants.” It’s possible she’s a friend of the family — according to Wikipedia, she had two kids ages 16 and 11. Her wife, Alice Dodd, is also an actress (and producer). Even though the last professional credit Jillian shares with Angie was in 2007, she and her daughter did attend the Maleficent 2 premiere last year.

Us also says that “tensions have escalated” over the last month between Angie and Brad, and that they stopped going to family therapy together. Which was pretty obvious since Brad spent a portion of the summer cavorting with COVID.

The Mr. & Mrs. Smith costars are not open-minded heading into the trial either. “Brad wants 50/50 joint physical and legal custody of the kids. Angelina has been unagreeable to those terms,” the insider revealed. “[She] will only agree to talk about an agreement if the home base for the children isn’t Los Angeles. The younger kids are in school in Los Angeles, which Angelina has always been opposed to. They are very smart and are eager to attend school in person [amid the COVID-19 pandemic].”

Meanwhile, a second source insisted Jolie has good intentions. “Her interests are the same as they always have been, which is to protect the kids and the health of the family,” the insider said. “In the end, she is going to do what’s best for the children as she has done all along.”

I can’t wait to see Angie’s witness list. Maybe it will include a hologram of Sigmund Freud.
