Brody Jenner And Josie Canseco Struck Out/Fell At The Hurdles. OK, They Broke Up
Brody Jenner and Josie Canseco have broken up. The model/DJ/television personality son of a former Olympian (Caitlyn Jenner) and Elvis Presley’s old girlfriend/songwriter (Linda Thompson), and the model/internet personality daughter of a former baseball champ (Jose Canseco) and a former Hooters waitress/reality TV personality (Jessica Canseco), couldn’t find enough common ground to make it work. According to TMZ, both Brody and Josie have scrubbed their respective Instagram accounts of any evidence that the short, yet well documented relationship ever even occurred. If these multi-talented multi-hyphenates can’t have it all, what chance do the rest of us losers have?
A source told TMZ that the main issue was their age difference. Poor Josie only has a couple of precious years left before she must decide which actor/model/DJ/reality TV personality will be her first husband. Brody on the other hand, can go on dating and partying for decades to come before people start whispering.
Sources close to the situation tell TMZ … Brody and Josie are telling friends they’ve broken up, and one of their main issues was their age difference — Brody is 36 and Josie is 22. We’re told they’re just on different pages in life.
TMZ asked Brody’s mom Linda about the couple’s relationship status. She was at the big Casamigos Halloween party over the weekend and a TMZ photographer saw her “hugging and chatting up” Kaitlynn Carter, Brody and Miley Cyrus‘ ex. She didn’t have anything to add about the Brody and Josie situation other than to remark that they were “on opposite sides of the world” but that they were still together. That was false. Somebody forget to send Linda the updated script pages for this week.
However, our sources say they’re definitely dunzo, and their social media backs that up — Brody and Josie have already scrubbed each other from their accounts.
You really know they’re over because each of their most recent Instagram posts are moody and philosophical.
Josie gets extra points for being cryptic as well. Was it Brody who turned her into a savage or is this a poorly vetted sponsored post for Sauvage? Just 6 short weeks ago it looked like Josie was ready to put down roots in Montana, where Brody apparently visits frequently.
Finally, TMZ says that despite Linda and Kaitlynn still being friendly, there’s no chance of her and Brody getting back together.
As for Brody and Kaitlynn — we’re told they still communicate, but there’s no chance of a romantic reconciliation. While Brody is still in party animal mode … she’s ending that phase.
But might Linda and Kaitlynn have a shot (Linda isn’t married, she divorced David Foster in 2005, which makes things even more complicated by adding Hadids into the mix)? And I did notice that Cody Simpson, Kaitlynn’s ex Miley’s rebound-rebound/OneTrueLove, removed that photo of Miley with her hand down the front of his pants from Instagram. This could be breaking new or it could mean nothing. But I think the best thing that could happen, from a dramaturgical perspective, would be for Miley and Brody to hook up next. I don’t think they’re blood related, although I’d have to check my records.
