A$AP Rocky Was Officially Charged In Sweden

TMZ says that shit has finally come to fruition for A$AP Rocky and his Swedish dilemma. A$AP has been in Swedish custody for quite some time now, spending a lot of time in their much-better-conditions-than-America jail. Now, more than twenty days after his initial arrest, he’s been officially charged with assault. So are you telling me that Kim Kardashian didn’t successfully get him out of jail?!! If Kim Kardashian can’t save a black person from jail, who can?!

Some famous Americans have been trying to get A$AP Rocky out of jail in Sweden for weeks after he was goaded into a fight by a random dude. Sources were alleging that he was in inhumane, shit-stained conditions and thanks to celebrities like Kanye West and his wife, and their best friendDonald Trump, we all thought he’d be out of there. Trump even offered to pay his bail! Well it seems that Kim K was kongratulating herselfJared Kushner, Trump, and the rest of that messy White House for nothing, because all that “work” to get A$AP out of jail did not work out. So I guess the opposite of what you guys were trying to do happened. Good job, Kimmy! Can’t wait for you to be a lawyer–you seem great at it.

Prosecutors in Sweden charged A$AP with Assault Causing Actual Bodily Harm. If he gets convicted, he could spend up to 2 years behind bars, but he won’t since the prosecutors literally said as much; telling TMZ they will not ask for the full 2 year sentence if they win their case against him. They didn’t say how long they would ask for, though (imagine it’s 1 year and 11 months, just to fuck with us).

A$AP will stay in jail until his trial begins, but don’t worry all you #FreeA$AP kids. Sweden does not have the legal back-log that America does, so he will be going to trial within the next two weeks and it could be as soon as next Tuesday. The trial is expected to last only three days. A panel of four judges will decide A$AP’s fate with three having to agree on the charge, and if only two do, then the prosecutor is allowed to try again. If he’s convicted, a judge will sentence A$AP the following week.

Two members of A$AP’s posse have also been charged with the same crime, but as we all know the bodyguard and the guy who was harassing the group have both not been charged with anything.

People may be wondering why the Swedes went this direction since all the footage we’ve seen really makes it look like A$AP and his people are not the initial aggressors, but the prosecutor wants us to mind our business because he has more information than we do:

He said he’s reviewed video and also talked to witnesses, and determined the claims by Rocky and his 2 crew members of self defense and provocation didn’t hold water, despite the fact the alleged victim is the one who unrelentingly harassed and attacked Rocky and his crew first.

The prosecutor says he also considered the alleged victim’s statement, which he says was supported by witness statements. We’re told the alleged victim admits striking A$AP’s bodyguard with a set of headphones, but only after the bodyguard lifted him off the ground by his neck, so the prosecutor viewed the headphones attack as self defense.

TMZ also got pictures of the guy’s injuries and they do make it seem like A$AP and his friends lit him up pretty good.

Here’s hoping that A$AP doesn’t get too screwed over by the Swedish justice system but lets be real, if he does go to Swedish jail he has a 60% chance of becoming a better person. He’s going to go to jail as A$AP Rocky and come out as Common.
