A$AP Rocky Is Still In Jail In Sweden, Reportedly In Inhumane Conditions

A$AP Rocky was arrested last week in Sweden for a street fight he was involved in which, according to video evidence, wasn’t started by him. The Swedes arrested him anyway and now are in the process of a two-week investigation during which he’s supposed to stay in jail until it’s over. Now the Swedish Supreme Court has said that A$AP cannot get out of jail early, and sources are saying that he’s in real shit, literally.

XXL Mag says that A$AP’s appeal to the Swedish authorities has been denied. According to the Agence France-Presse, the Supreme Court rejected A$AP’s plea to be released early from custody while the investigation into the alleged assault continues. Prosecutors believe that A$AP is a flight risk if they release him so they want him to be held until the investigation is complete.

A$AP’s Swedish attorney, Henrik Olsson Lilja, came for the court’s decision to hold his client, saying he didn’t think that prosecutors had justified any alleged flight risk. But the court of appeals was like, “We do,” so Henrik went to the Supreme Court and they were like, “We do, too.”

Now TMZ is coming in with worse news. They say that not only does it suck A$AP is being held when he really wasn’t out here starting brawls willy-nilly in a foreign country, he also is being held in shitty conditions.

Sources say that A$AP sleeps on a yoga mat on the floor with no blankets and there is a prisoner in the next cell “with severe mental issues who slams his head against the concrete wall and hurls feces every which way.” Ask me if they clean the feces he throws. They don’t. The water is unclean and the food is inedible. For his first 5 days in the slammer, A$AP only ate one apple a day (which I guess in Sweden, doesn’t keep the doctor away, because sources say the prison is “disease ridden.”)

And according to the Vienna Convention for Consular Relations which both Sweden and the United States are a part of, when a foreigner gets arrested they have a right to see an official from their consulate immediately. Sources tell TMZ that when A$AP asked for one, the official from the American Consulate was denied access to the detention center. Sources think they did this because Swedish officials didn’t want to let anyone see how shit-stained A$AP’s cell is.

After two days, the American official was finally allowed to speak with A$AP but only with two Swedish guards in immediate earshot so they couldn’t have a private conversation. They think it was “a clear intimidation tactic.” Now A$AP’s team is trying to get the US State Department involved.

I would think that a Swedish jailhouse wouldn’t be that bad since they’d serve you Ikea meatballs (which are the opposite of inedible) and pipe the greatest hits of Robyn and ABBA throughout the cell block, but I guess I was wrong. And A$AP Rocky supposedly dated Kendall Jenner, which means he’s used to being around bullshit, so if things are too shitty for him, they must be really shitty.
