Racist, homophobic, science-fearing, and (WORST OF ALL) wwwaaayyy overpriced fashion designers Dolce & Gabanna have discovered that you can’t just spew trash about a whole country and then expect them to keep putting up with your shit. And take that last part literally because 1/2 of the destructive duo (Italy’s biggest troll Stefano Gabbana) opined that China was the country of shit via a poop emoji. Oh, and that the Chinese people eat dogs. In response, the latest fashion trend in China is now hating on D&G. Since their money sitch is being threatened, the duo has issued an apology video. The sincerity just oozes out of it!
Maybe it’s a good thing Dolce & Gabbana love Melania Trump so much. At the rate they’re going, she’s going to be the only one willing to wear their clothes. There’s been this whole buildup this week for an upcoming D&G show in Shanghai, but that is looking like a no-go after the fashion label behaved as it always does. It kicked off coverage for the event with a commercial on Chinese social media platform Weibo. The video featured a Chinese model trying to eat things like pizza, cannoli, and spaghetti with chopsticks. I was shocked a model eats that many carbs, but I guess China was, rightfully, pissed the fashion brand was trying to mock its culture.
I don’t know why anybody in this day and age would try to come for Naomi Campbell and think it’s gonna turn out well for them. According to Page Six, a group of animal rights protesters tried it at a Dolce & Gabbana concept store opening in New York. The protesters carried signs that read ““Fur Is Dead” and “Dolce & Gabbana blood on their hands”, the latter being a lot of lettering for one sign so I hope they had good penmanship. When Naomi shantéd up to the door, they screamed at and heckled her. Funeral services for the protesters will be held over the weekend.
Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana have done a really good job of pissing people off with their homophobic thoughts, IVF, etc… They recently pissed off Miley Cyrus and got into a fight with her. And it all started with her brother Braison Cyrus.
One example of “annoying” would be a sexually insecure straight dude in a traditionally gay occupation, over-correcting whatever his psychic trauma is by being a homophobic dickhead. Another example of “annoying” would be the same dude charging $2,275 for an ugly leopard-print diaper bag. Did I mention he’s a Melania Trump stan? Stefano Gabbana has “annoying” perfected.
Unlike many in the fashion industry, Stefano is more than happy to clothe Donald Trump’s wife in his fashions. He posted a pic of Melania wearing a Dolce & Gabbana dress on Instagram, thanking her and labelling her a “#DGwoman.” Someone came for him (via The Advocate):
“Sad when a gay designer doesn’t care about other groups being repressed, how much more money do u need?!?”
The tall (but just as dumb) half of Dolce & Gabbana once again came off bigoted when he corrected the commentator.
To which Gabbana replied: “Dont call me gay please!! Im a man!!! Who I love its my private life!!!”
Part of me wonders if maybe all of the Italian designer’s PR issues are due to a language barrier. But then I remember that he’s a multi-millionaire who can probably afford a military-grade plug-in to perfect Google Translate. And to that I say, “eff him.”
