Hasan Minhaj Rated Dax Shepard A 6.5/10 While Taking A Vanity Fair Lie Detector Test
Comedian Hasan Minhaj was this close to having the opportunity to devastate some Washington DC insiders with his caustic wit until the 2020 White House Correspondents Dinner at which he was scheduled to be a featured entertainer was canceled due to COVID19. However, Hasan made up for it by calling Dax Shepard almost ugly while strapped up to a lie detector for a Vanity Fair interview from last year that recently went viral on Twitter. I’ll just say this — no lie was detected.
“Lost” Star Daniel Dae Kim Has Tested Positive For COVID-19 And Evangeline Lilly Refuses To Self-Isolate
If you were a fan of Lost, like most fans, you probably loved Daniel Dae Kim’s character Jin-Soo Kwan and low-key hated Evangeline Lilly’s character, Kate Austin. Jin was heroic and brave, and Kate was stubborn and whiny. Well guess what, that’s kind of true in real life as both actors have shown in their responses to the coronavirus. Sadly for Daniel, he’s actually tested positive for the virus. So the danger and severity of the situation we’re all in, is very real and personal for him. As it should be for Evangeline, who is currently immunocompromised and lives with her father who has stage 4 leukemia. But Evangeline don’t curr. She posted on Instagram that she values her freedom over her life (and presumably the lives of her loved ones) and refuses to isolate herself or her children. Daniel, on the other hand, posted his coronavirus news on Instagram with a message of love and unity, and urged people to follow the guidelines to help stop the spread of the virus. So yeah, tropical polar bears don’t seem quite as crazy as they used to.
Daniel Dae Kim Will Probably Be Replacing Ed Skrein In That “Hellboy” Reboot
Be honest, the minute you heard that Ed Skrein was backing out of his role as a Japanese-American soldier in the Hellboy reboot after the backlash of criticism over Hollywood’s propensity for whitewashing – did you think, “I bet they get that guy from Lost.” Well, if you did, then you were right! According to The Hollywood Reporter, Daniel Dae Kim is in talks to take over the role. Being an Asian actor in Hollywood is hard, so it helps if you are one of THE Asian actors in Hollywood.
Kim will play Major Ben Daimio, a rugged military member of the Bureau for Paranormal Research and Defense who, due to a supernatural encounter, can turn into a jaguar when angered or in pain. The character is Japanese-American in the Hellboy comics by creator Mike Mignola.
Daniel has been an outspoken critic of the lack of roles for Asian actors, and famously walked away from Hawaii Five-0 when they couldn’t come up with Scott Caan money for him. Of course Daniel is not just “that guy from Lost.” He’s also a dude with a hot bod and sexy chiseled facial features. Yes, Daniel Dae (more like Daniel Bae) can get it, and I’m glad Hollywood might have woke up a little and given him something good to work with. But I fear we are sleeping on a whole lot of other sexy Asian men who are out there just waiting to objectified and drooled over. Now, get it together Hollywood and make with some juicy roles for these sexy men (and women!) to star in.

Daniel Dae Kim And Grace Park Quit “Hawaii Five-O” Over Pay Equality, CBS Claims They Were Offered Big Raises
Daniel Dae Kim and Grace Park left CBS’ Hawaii Five-O after the network reportedly refused to pay them as much as their white co-workers Alex O’Loughlin and Scott Caan. CBS’ “inside sources” are talking and claim that the network offered Daniel and Grace a pile of money to stay and “insiders” claim that the difference in pay isn’t about race. Um, it looks like CBS can afford to pay Daniel and Grace what they wanted, because it’s not like they’re spending their money on well-trained Photoshop artists (see: that Photoshop Awards Hall of Fame masterpiece above).
