Billie Lourd Will Take Care Of Gary Fisher
After many people finished scraping up the souls that fell out of their bodies from reading about how the one-of-a-kind Carrie Fisher is no longer with us, their first thought was probably, “But what will happen to Gary Fisher?!!”
Carrie Fisher Has Died
We’re now living in a world without Princess Leia in it. Damn. Every hair bun just unraveled and even the Stormtroopers are probably filling their helmets with tears. I don’t know what a Stormtrooper’s cries sound like, but we’re about to find out.
Carrie Fisher’s family issued a statement today saying that she died this morning at UCLA Medical Center in L.A. at the way-too-young age of 60:
“It is with a very deep sadness that Billie Lourd confirms that her beloved mother Carrie Fisher passed away at 8:55 this morning. She was loved by the world and she will be missed profoundly.”
Carrie ended up in the ICU on Friday after she went into cardiac arrest at the end of a flight from London to Los Angeles. Passengers said that an EMT, who happened to be on board, gave her CPR for 10 minutes. Carrie’s mom Debbie Reynolds later said that her daughter was in stable condition. TMZ says she never regained consciousness.
Everyone, of course, knows Carrie as Princess Leia from the Star Wars movies, but she did so much more than that. She spilled out her feelings and raw emotions about battling addiction and living with bipolar disorder in several books. Carrie’s semi-autobiographical novel Postcards from the Edge was turned into a movie and one of her other memoirs Wishful Drinking became a one-woman show starring her.
Before Star Wars, Carrie made her movie debut in Shampoo and was also in Hannah and Her Sisters, When Harry Met Sally…, Drop Dead Fred, Heartbreakers, Map to the Stars and my personal favorite Soapdish, where she expertly spit out this beautiful line at Elisabeth Shue:
“An actress! Really? How nice for you. I’m Betsy Faye Sharon and I’m a bitch. Now get out of here.”
Lucasfilms also said that she finished shooting her scenes for Star Wars: Episode VIII. Carrie also guest starred on dozens of TV shows, including Catastrophe, which she’s perfect in.
And on top of being an author, actress, activist and all-around badass, Carrie was also an idol to those of us who aspire to truly not give one fuck. Carrie is the force.
Carrie is survived by her mother Debbie Reynolds, her daughter Billie Lourd, her brother Todd Fisher, her sisters Joely Fisher and Tricia Leigh Fisher and her Frenchie Gary Fisher.

Debbie Reynolds Says Carrie Fisher Is In Stable Condition
The updates on Carrie Fisher’s health situation since she was rushed to the hospital after going into cardiac arrest on an airplane on Friday have had me on an emotional rollercoaster. It felt like I spent most of my Christmas Eve Eve watching the status of her condition go from “critical” to “stable” and back again. I was like “Jesus, Gary, just give me some good news!” The last we heard, Carrie’s brother Todd Fisher said that she was stabilized but in critical condition, and was in the ICU. Carrie’s mother Debbie Reynolds now says that her daughter is in stable condition.
Carrie Fisher Reportedly Had A Massive Heart Attack On A Plane (UPDATES)
2016 isn’t only going to have the wrath of everyone coming at it, but it’s going have the triple wrath of the nerds coming at it hard… Everyone’s about to turn into Kylo Ren.
TMZ reports that international treasure Carrie Fisher was on a flight from London to LAX today when she went into cardiac arrest. The plane was just 15 minutes from landing in Los Angeles. There was an EMT on board and he went to First Class to give Carrie CPR. There were also doctors and nurses on board and they also helped. After the plane landed at around noon, paramedics took Carrie to a nearby hospital.
60-year-old Carrie was in London with her sidekick/best dog friend Gary Fisher, where they were promoting her book The Princess Diarist. She was also there shooting the new season of Catastrophe.
Actress, writer and YouTube Anna Akana was on the flight with Carrie and said that she wasn’t breathing for about 10 minutes and the EMT was doing CPR up until they landed.

The Los Angeles Times is saying that Carrie is currently in critical condition.
UPDATE: TMZ is hearing that Carrie is currently at UCLA Medical Center and she’s on a ventilator.
UPDATE 2: Carrie’s brother Todd Fisher tells the Associated Press that she is “out of emergency” and is in “stable condition” right now. Does this mean that the vicious fuck wart that is 2016 is finally standing down? I don’t know, but keep the prayer circle going. Gary Fisher is leading the way!

It only took her 4 decades, but Carrie Fisher confirmed what many of us figured a while ago: she and Harrison Ford regularly got their fuck on with each other while shooting the first Star Wars movie in London. There Were A Lot Of Fabulous People At The “Absolutely Fabulous” Premiere
Case in point, former Hot Slut of the Day AND Month and fabulous icon for dogs everywhere GARY FISHER! You know a movie premiere is major event when A-list celebrity dogs are invited. I bet Amanda Seyfried’s famous pooch Finn called up his agent immediately after he saw this picture and barked them out for not scoring him an invite. Gary came with his human, Carrie Fisher, and her daughter, Billie Lourd. Billie has the right idea. Rather than attempt – and inevitably fail – at trying to yank some attention away from Gary, just accept it and guide everyone’s eyes to the true star of the family.
There was also some fabulous non-dogs at the premiere for the Absolutely Fabulous movie too. The premiere was held earlier today in London, of course.
