During this week’s episode of Dlisted: The Podcast, Michael K came up with a very good theory about why we’ve been seeing and hearing about so many recent heartwarming moments between Jennifer Aniston and her former husband Brad Pitt. Brad is almost certainly on his way to winning his first Academy Award for acting (he already has an Oscar, for producing 2014’s 12 Years A Slave). Michael hypothesized that Brad needed to shed his two-timing cheater stone image to make everyone feel warm and fuzzy about voting for him.
Which definitely makes sense. I’ve seen the guest lists from Jennifer’s birthday parties, and I’m pretty sure she’s friends with 80% of people aged 29 to 60 in Hollywood. So I’m sure seeing Brad allegedly tear up at Jennifer accepting her first SAG Award was a step in the right direction for personal life redemption.
