Brad Pitt Has Apologized To Jennifer Aniston For Being A Bad Husband
During this week’s episode of Dlisted: The Podcast, Michael K came up with a very good theory about why we’ve been seeing and hearing about so many recent heartwarming moments between Jennifer Aniston and her former husband Brad Pitt. Brad is almost certainly on his way to winning his first Academy Award for acting (he already has an Oscar, for producing 2014’s 12 Years A Slave). Michael hypothesized that Brad needed to shed his two-timing cheater stone image to make everyone feel warm and fuzzy about voting for him.
Which definitely makes sense. I’ve seen the guest lists from Jennifer’s birthday parties, and I’m pretty sure she’s friends with 80% of people aged 29 to 60 in Hollywood. So I’m sure seeing Brad allegedly tear up at Jennifer accepting her first SAG Award was a step in the right direction for personal life redemption. But for anyone who still isn’t convinced Brad is a changed man, or anyone who feels uncomfortable with the (probably not real) will-they-or-won’t-they sexual tension, we have an update for you. A source is claiming that Brad has apologized to his ex-wife.
A source tells Entertainment Tonight that both Brad and Jennifer have “moved on” from what happened in their marriage and the whole Angelina Jolie thing. The cherry on top of the We Don’t Hate Each Other Any More sundae is the apologies from Brad.
“Brad is completely sober now and is in such a different place than he was when they were together. Brad is truly an introspective guy who has worked hard on himself. He has apologized to her for many things he felt were his issues in their relationship. He truly takes ownership for his mistakes and that has changed their relationship with each other today. They both have moved on.”
Another source says that things are so great between Brad and Jennifer at the moment, because they have both recently gone through divorces. Well technically, one of them will be going through a divorce until the next meteor hits, but that’s neither here nor there.
“Right now they just love and adore each other and have been much closer friends since their divorces. They have a very mature relationship that has evolved over time because they both have experienced marriages that didn’t work out.”
And in case you haven’t gotten the message yet, 2020 Brad Pitt is not 2005 Brad Pitt.
“Brad has grown so much in his life since he and Jen broke up.”
This is the second time we’ve heard about an apology issued by Brad in relation to Jennifer Aniston. In 2011, he gave an interview while promoting Moneyball in which he more than implied his marriage to Jennifer was boring. He later claimed his comments were misunderstood, and that he had nothing but respect and love for Jennifer Aniston, and that he was responsible for his marriage being boring, not her.
So we’ve got repentance, acceptance, what’s left really? He still has the BAFTAs to get through before the Oscars. Maybe a photographer can catch him at a souvenir store asking, “Hey, will you guys personalize this shirt that says ‘My friend went to London and all I got was this lousy T-shirt’? Her name is Jen. That’s J-E-N.”
