Sources Claim Warner Bros. Are Considering Replacing Ezra Miller’s Role In “The Flash” With Dylan O’Brien

Ezra Miller isn’t just a menace to the island of Hawaii, they’re also an actor. Remember? Warner Bros. remembers, and according to some past reports, they’ve allegedly been panicking about what do to about Ezra, the star of their upcoming movie with DC Films about The Flash. Ezra has played The Flash/Barry Allen in various films and television series, and everything was ready, set, go for Ezra to play The Flash on the big screen in their own stand-alone film. But Ezra hasn’t exactly been the most PR-perfect employee as of late, and according to sources, Warner Bros. might be making plans to replace Ezra.

Ezra has been arrested several times in Hawaii, mostly for disorderly-like conduct and events that involve being intoxicated. Everyone on the Big Island is becoming very familiar with Ezra, who much like The Flash, has been racking up calls to police at the speed of light (like when Ezra threatened a couple in their home, aka the home he was staying in at the time). So, it’s not a great look for Warner Bros., who have barely had a moment of rest since their last PR nightmare-based casting issue. When Johnny Depp decided to walk away from the Fantastic Beasts franchise, he left very shortly after he lost his libel suit against The Sun (and after all that went down, he was replaced by Mads Mikkelsen). Warner Bros. likely doesn’t love waiting until the 11th hour to figure out who gets replaced by who in the name of a safe press tour. This might be why they’ve reportedly drawn up a little list for possible back-ups. via Screen Geek:

As the controversies surrounding actor Ezra Miller continue to add up, many fans are anxious to know what will happen with his character The Flash. He’s a staple of the DCEU and it was expected that he’d be appearing in many more films in the coming years. But knowing the allegations against Ezra Miller, not to mention several arrests, everyone knows that many other actors have been canceled for far less. With that in mind, we’ve learned that Warner Bros is considering their options when it comes to replacing Ezra Miller.

Screen Geek claims their sources have told them that Warner Bros. has a list of possible replacements. While it’s not known who is on that list, Screen Geek claims that one name that has been tossed around is 30-year-old actor Dylan O’Brien from MTV’s Teen Wolf and the Maze Runner series. Regardless, Warner Bros. is allegedly considering him to replace 29-year-old Ezra Miller, should this situation get to that. Screen Geek notes that fans already have thoughts on the matter, and have chosen actor Grant Gustin as a possible replacement. Grant already plays a version of The Flash on The CW’s The Flash, which does make it sound like he’s pretty qualified for the job (should the job become available).

I do know who is probably not thrilled about this news: Hawaii! The whole state is probably writing a letter to WB right now, telling them to get Ezra back on the mainland and into his Flash suit ASAP. And while Ezra is there, maybe someone can grab their phone and block access to Expedia too, just to prevent Ezra from booking a flight back.
