A Couple In Hawaii Have Filed A Restraining Order Against Ezra Miller For Threatening Them In Their Home
During the Oscars, the scene in Zack Snyder’s Justice League where The Flash enters the speed zone was named the Most Cheer-worthy Moment In Cinema History. But now, The Flash’s position in cinema history is in danger. After getting arrested in a bar in Hilo, Hawaii for disorderly conduct and harassment shortly after midnight on Monday, the titular Flash, Ezra Miller, has had a restraining order filed against them by two Hilo residents who were hosting them on the island. The complaint against Ezra alleges that they busted into the couple’s bedroom and “threatened the alleged male victim by ‘saying ‘I will bury you and your slut wife,’” the morning following their arrest. The couple had even paid their $500 bail! No matter how you look at it, that is most certainly NOT cheer-worthy behavior!
According to People, Ezra was invited to stay with the couple after meeting one of them at a farmer’s market. You ever noticed how kale is WAY stronger than it used to be? They must be lacing it with DDT or something.
Two Hilo residents filed for a temporary restraining order against the 29-year-old Justice League star in the Third Circuit District Court on Tuesday, according to a court document obtained by PEOPLE claiming that Miller harassed and threatened them.
Miller had allegedly been staying at the couple’s home while in Hawaii, Radar reports, after one of them met the actor at a farmer’s market. Sources told the outlet that the couple bailed Miller out of jail on a $500 bond on Monday following his arrest at the karaoke bar.
It was after that, when Miller was back at the couple’s home, that he allegedly barged in on them, according to Radar
The complaint alleges that Miller “burst into the bedroom of the petitioner(s) and threatened” the alleged male victim by “saying ‘I will bury you and your slut wife’ ” on Monday.
The document claims that Miller stole some of the alleged victims’ personal belongings, including a social security card, wallet, passport, driver’s license and bank cards.
“The respondent is famous and wealthy,” the document continues. “This makes access to weapons much easier; as well as sending associates to harass the petitioner.”
As the matter remains an ongoing investigation, the Hawaii Police Department has no comment. PEOPLE has reached out to Miller’s representatives and is awaiting a response.
Back in January, Ezra posted a since-deleted image of them holding a gun, and shared a video in which they challenged the “Beulaville chapter of the North Carolina Ku Klux Klan” to shoot themselves with their own guns or else “‘we’ll do it for you if that’s what you want.’” So I can see how the couple’s fears might be warranted. It’s unclear how long Ezra intends, or intended to, stay in Hilo, but in the couple’s complaint they said “unless Respondent(s)’ wrongful conduct is stopped or prevented by order of the Court, Petitioner(s) will suffer substantial emotional distress.”
The Associated Press adds that since March 7, the Hawaii Police Department has received 10 complaints about Ezra:
They were “manini” incidents — a Hawaii Pidgin term that can mean minor or small — such as filming people at a gas station, refusing to leave the sidewalk area of a restaurant and arguing with people, Quiocho said.
After all the bad tourist behavior the good people of Hawaii have endured since the pandemic began, I wouldn’t blame them if they pulled up their “Aloha” welcome mat to all mainlanders until they learn how to act right. Ezra is a damn fool for bringing his mess to an island where everybody now knows their face. I hope their ass can swim!
Ezra will be seen next in Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore. I don’t know, but it seems like there are easier ways to get out of a contract. I have no idea what exactly Ezra is trying to say here but given their circumstances, it’s an odd choice. Then again, Ezra’s signature scent is Odd Choice, which has top notes of WTF, and base notes of rapidly dissipating employability.
