Paris Hilton Is Starting IVF With Her Boyfriend Carter Reum

Paris Hilton is having a baby! Eventually! Through IVF! Actually, make that babies, plural. Because apparently if you do in vitro you have the power to choose twins, and that’s exactly what Paris wants. I hope she also has the power to choose her kids’ eye colors, it’ll save her a bundle on blue-colored contact lenses for babies. Paris, who turns 40 next month, has already begun her IVF journey with her entrepreneur boyfriend of over a year, Carter Reum. She revealed the news yesterday on The Trend Reporter with Mara podcast.

Paris says, via E!:

Hilton said her longtime friend Kim Kardashian, who has been open about her own IVF and surrogacy journeys, told her about the process. “I didn’t even know anything about it,” she said. “I’m happy that she told me that advice and introduce me to her doctor. So yeah, we have them all ready to go.”

Birthing advice from Kim Kardashian? Um, sure. Just plug your ears when girl starts giving marriage tips. Sure, Paris has had at least three failed engagements, but she’s never actually walked down the aisle. True restraint.

Paris revealed that she’s already finished the egg extractions, which Google says is when the doctors insert an ultrasound probe and needle to retrieve the eggs. Before that, she would’ve had to inject herself with a bunch of meds to stimulate her ovaries. Ugh, Amy Schumer wasn’t kidding. Paris went on:

“It was tough, but I knew it would be worth it. I did it a couple of times. Just doing it together and having a partner that is just so supportive and just always makes me feel like a princess all the time… it wasn’t that bad.”

And I guess she’s going through all this because she really wants twins:

Hilton has made no secret of her desire to have twins, a boy and a girl, and explained that IVF is “the only way” to make that happen: “That’s why they’re doing it this way.” And after twins, she’d ideally like one or two more kids, too.

Carter made his official debut as Paris Hilton’s Piece (the highest title a gentleman in L.A. can receive) over a year ago at Golden Globes parties. Paris says he’s her “dream guy”, and that, based on his interactions with her sister Nicky Hilton’s kids, he’ll be “the best dad”:

“I’m just really excited to just move on for the next step of my life and finally just have a real life,” the 39 year old said. “Because I really do believe that having a family and having children is the meaning of life. And I haven’t got to experience that, because I didn’t feel like anybody deserved that love from me, and now I finally found the person who does.”

Well, isn’t that romantic? Hopefully, Carter is actually a good dude like Paris thinks. The men she’s picked in the past haven’t exactly been winners. Exes include Pam Anderson’s on-again/off-again husband Rick Salomon, two Greek shipping heirs, noted stupid idiot Aleks Novakovic (he appeared in her documentary), and Nick Carter. Please, oh please, make this Carter better than that Carter.
