Paris Hilton has a new catchphrase, and a new man to go with it. Paris isn’t merely living like you other sad hos, she’s “Sliving.” (That’s slaying+living, dummies!) It’s a “movement” and a “lifestyle” and for Paris, includes dating a Portfolio Brother which is kind of like a Property Brother only instead of flipping house together, they both leave their jobs as Goldman Sachs investment bankers to become “entrepreneurs.” According to People, Paris and and her new boyfriend, Carter Reum, made their official debut as a couple at the Golden Globes (after-parties) where Paris was presumably being honored with a Slifetime Achievement award.
The heiress kept close to date Carter Reum as she made her rounds at the Golden Globes afterparties on Sunday night. The two were spotted dancing and sharing a kiss at the Warner Bros. & InStyle party.
A source confirms to PEOPLE that Reum is Hilton’s boyfriend, adding, “They are dating and happy.”
A longtime friend of the Hilton family, Reum is an author and entrepreneur known for co-founding the liquor brand VEEV Spirits alongside his brother, Courtney Reum. Together, they were listed in Inc. Magazine’s 500 fasting growing private companies in America.
In case you’re wondering if Carter and Courtney were just simple farm boys who bootstrapped their way up the corporate ladder, well, their daddy was the CEO of Amsted Industries (per Wikipedia). It’s weird because they have a book called Shortcut Your Startup (proudly blurbed by Tony Robbins on the front cover) but as far as I can tell, the shortcut in question isn’t “have rich parents willing to overlook a few missed loan repayments” Go figure!
Carter and Paris aren’t Instagram official yet (though the Hiltons and the Reums are family friends and Paris, Nicky and Kathy Hilton have been tagged in plenty of posts with Carter’s sister Halle Hammond), but you can practically feel the warmth and depth of Paris’ genuine emotions in her recent Instagram posts.
Honestly, Paris and Carter seem like a perfect match. People says that one of the reasons Paris cited for the demise of her engagement to Chris Zylka was that it moved too fast and she wanted time to focus on “herself” and her “work.”
“The relationship moved very fast, and she realized it wasn’t right for her,” a source told PEOPLE at the time. “She is traveling the world for her skincare and perfume.
But since Carter is an entrepreneur like Paris instead of a penniless meathead actor like Chris, he understands the concept of a hard day’s work and the pride of putting your name on something you built with your own two hands.
What more is there to say? Her work may be difficult, grueling, and require many sacrifices, but hey, it’s a sliving!
