Megan Thee Stallion Confirms That Tory Lanez Was The One Who Shot Her

Despite the (almost) universal acclaim that “WAP” has brought her, Megan Thee Stallion’s personal life took a traumatic turn when she was shot in the foot. About a month ago, Megan was involved in a scary situation after a party in Hollywood with her rumored boyfriend, Canadian rapper Tory Lanez. When police arrived at the scene, they found Megan hobbling around with a bloody foot. At the time, it was claimed that she had cut her foot on some broken glass, while sources were saying that Tory had intentionally shot her in the foot.

Megan later admitted that she had been shot intentionally, although she wouldn’t say by who. It sounded a lot like a domestic violence situation, but we didn’t know the details, because Megan wasn’t ready to share that. Megan decided she was ready to talk, and pretty much everyone’s suspicions were confirmed when she named Tory as her shooter.

When discussing her shooting and subsequent police encounter, Megan explained that she was left feeling “hurt and traumatized,” which now feels like a profound understatement when you hear the reason why she decided to cover for Tory. As for why Megan decided now was the time to speak up, this tweet makes it pretty clear she was done covering for Tory:

TMZ says that Megan told her side of the story last night in an Instagram Live video. Megan says that she grew up on the south side of Houston, and that she wasn’t raised to go and run to the police with her problems. So she stayed quiet about it. Megan then named Tory, saying, “You shot me!,” before accusing his publicists of faking stories about how he’s innocent in all of this. At the time, sources were saying that Tory was concocting a story about how his gun went off by accident, or that he meant to fire into the air and the bullet ricocheted down into Megan’s foot.

Megan denied that their fight was over Kylie Jenner (they had reportedly just come from a party she was at). She also claimed that she was shot after she decided to exit the vehicle. She says she didn’t want to fight with Tory anymore and decided to leave, and that’s when he allegedly pulled out a weapon and shot at her from where he was sitting in the backseat of the car.

Megan explained that the reason she didn’t name Tory in the first place, and why she came up with the broken glass story, was because she was afraid of what the police might do to Tory if they knew he had a gun in the vehicle. The Shade Room has collected several clips from her Instagram Live:

She also admitted she regretted not turning Tory over to the police when it happened, because of the backlash she’s gotten from the situation. According to Megan, the internet has dumped a pile of shit in her metaphorical plate, ranging from accusations that she’s lying about getting shot (despite posting picture proof of her bullet wound), to some assholes calling her a snitch.

Megan would also like you to know that Tory really didn’t have a single reason. She would also like you to know that Tory might act tough when he’s holding his gun, but not when it comes to telling the truth.

“Tell them why you shot me! No reason. Stop fucking lying on me. Stop acting like Black women are the motherfucking problem. Stop acting like Black women is aggressive, when all they be doing is speaking motherfucking facts, and you can’t handle it…The truth is you shot me, and you’re scared to come tell everybody that you shot me.”

Billboard says that the Los Angeles District Attorney’s office is considering whether to file charges against Tory. Originally, Tory was arrested for possession of a concealed weapon. If the LAPD launch an investigation into the matter, Tory could be looking at a felony assault with a semiautomatic firearm charge. A District Attorney’s spokesperson spoke to Billboard, telling them that the LADA office has reached out to law enforcement officials, asking to provide a further investigation. I know I’ve really worn out the use of acronyms in this post, but please grant me a few more. Megan’s positive ID on her shooter has prompted action by LADA, which means the LAPD are back on the case. Paired with those pictures of Megan’s bullet fragment-studded foot? I’m sorry, Tory, but it sounds like you might be SOL, you alleged SOB.
