Ben Affleck And Ana De Armas Joined The Black Lives Matter Protest In Venice, CA

This week Ben Affleck and Ana de Armas hit the streets for their regularly scheduled attention-ho stroll for the paps, and-wait, what? Oh, they went outside to protest? Jesus, OK. Reset!

This week, Ben Affleck and Ana de Armas hit the streets to show their support for the Black Lives Matter movement, and protest the planned demolition of the First Baptist Church of Venice (a historic Black church that a billionaire wants to tear down and replace with a mansion). A source close to Ben told People, “Ben wants to continue to be a model for his children. They talk about these important issues.” Um, sorry, but did that source say “continue”?

At the protest. Ben (sans mask, must have just finished a smoke) held up two signs, while Ana clapped beside him:

Wait, what does that 8.5 x 11″ piece of three-hole-punched paper say? “3 Lives Matter?” Oh god, which three, Ben? Which three?! For the sake of your girlfriend’s career, one of them better be Rodrigo’s.

According to some Twitter comments, Ben just brought his little piece of paper (probably removed from a Jennifer Garner-made binder laying out all the rules he needs to follow), and a protester asked him to hold their bigger sign for the pic. Smart move, because you know this picture is probably the only reason many people are reading about this specific cause. So it’s good that Ben and Ana got their asses out to fight for Black lives and the conservation of Black history.

On Twitter, Ana de Armas Updates, a fan account that’s transformed into a shade account since Ana blocked them several weeks ago, couldn’t help themselves, posting pics of the couple zooming around on Ben’s new Harley the day before the protest, with this caption:

Hey, at least both of their mouths are covered.
