Kanye West Donated $1 Million To Charity As A Birthday Gift To Kim Kardashian
This year, for her 39th birthday, Kanye West gave his wife Kim Kardashian a truly meaningful gift. In addition to a needless reup on her bag collection, a weekend in Palm Springs with all her friends and family, which included a catered dinner complete with a beignet truck and churro stand, Kanye donated $1 million to charity in her name. Does the saying “even a broken clock is right twice a day” still apply if said clock is also responsible for the glorification of rampant crass capitalism and perpetuating an unrealistic and unattainable physical aesthetic to women and girls the world over? If so, then it’s Kim and Kanye o’clock somewhere!
I think I’ve made my birthday beliefs known on this site before, and while they may be unpopular, I remain convinced that unless it’s a milestone birthday, adults need to chill. Needless to say, Kim does not share this opinion. There was quite a bit of hullabaloo surrounding her 39th trip around the sun, and naturally she shared it all on social media. This year was different though. Since Kim’s awakening and subsequent foray into politics, she’s added a dash of JUSTICE to the occasion (which is completely unnecessary since she shares a birthday with Judge Judy). Kim posted her gift from Kanye on Twitter, indicating that he donated $1 million to several of her favorite charities.

A million bucks is a mere drop of urine in the Kardashian bucket. But reading this note carefully, it should mean that Kanye donated $1M to each of those charities. Which really would be something. So I think we’re going to have to see the receipts on this one. Maybe there’s a video floating around out there that shows Kanye actually writing out the checks.
According to People, Kanye wasn’t there to give her her gifts in person. He was in Jamaica getting ready for the delayed release of his gospel album, Jesus Is King, which is now scheduled to come out on October 25.
“It was a girls’ trip and just the way she wanted it,” the source said. “On Saturday night, they had a fun birthday dinner. Kim usually doesn’t make a big deal about her birthday, so for her this was perfect.”
According to the insider, the reality star’s husband did not attend the festivities; the rapper was in Jamaica earlier in the weekend and is also preparing for his album release later this week.
“He is very busy right now,” the source added.

And this is a perfectly normal way to wish your sister happy birthday when a simple phone call just isn’t enough.
Next year Kim will turn 40 and if this is how she carries on at 39, I think we can expect a production that will put the 2020 Summer Olympics to shame.
