A$AP Rocky Takes The Stand To Testify In His Assault Trial In Sweden

What did I tell you about those Swedish trials? That shit goes quick. A$AP Rocky‘s assault trial started on Tuesday so today will potentially be the last day before the judges deliberate. We’ll see, but it’s the most “explosive” day of the trial, I suppose one could say–as today is the day that A$AP took the stand to defend himself against that guy who harassed him in the streets relentlessly until the point that A$AP and his friends had to beat his ass. No word on if Donald Trump will make an appearance as a character witness for A$AP since he knows him so well and really cares about this situation.

TMZ says the original game plan was to keep A$AP from testifying. A$AP’s team didn’t want prosecutors hammering at their client until he broke. But that changed after seeing the evidence presented by the other side and hearing the alleged victim’s testimony earlier this week.

A$AP testified that he “begged” the alleged victim and his friend to leave him and his crew alone and that the two were impossible to reason with. A$AP said he thought they were high on drugs. A$AP did admit he and his crew “jumped” the guy but only after the two dudes, who were maybe-high-on-drug, threw punches at his bodyguard. He called the men “fearless” in their attack on A$AP and his crew.

There was some focus on bottles in the area; A$AP apparently held a bottle while trying to hold back his attacker. A$AP says, “I didn’t break any bottles,” but did say his crew had picked up bottles to “get them out of there.”

A$AP also said this as an explanation for picking up the bottles–which I feel like isn’t the best comment to make out loud, but who knows:

“You got to realize my life is very unique and particular. I’ve been stabbed in the face and my home has been robbed at gunpoint twice.  That’s why I have security.”

A$AP says his bodyguard tried repeatedly to get the two guys away from them but they would not stop. A$AP insists that while his bodyguard did totally try and stop the harassment his bodyguard did not “beat up the alleged victim.” Of course there is some video which shows the bodyguard picking up the dude by his neck.

Prosecutors then brought out receipts in the form of texts between A$AP and his assistant. Swedish prosecutors pointed to a text saying:

“Harlem came out and smashed a bottle on a person.”

A$AP denied being “Harlem” in this case and says he never hit anyone with a bottle. They then hit him with another text that read:

“I hope Rocky deleted all the videos on his phone and kept only the one.”

Prosecutors think a deleted video on A$AP’s phone showed him bottling the dude.

A$AP said he wasn’t involved in the back-and-forth texts–probably because he was in jail…–and said he posted his own video evidence because TMZ was posting video which didn’t show the aggressiveness of the alleged victims.

I’m not sure if A$AP is done speaking for the day or the trial in general, but he did make his plea to the judges during today’s testimony, saying:

“I have spent a month in Sweden. This is my 5th or 6th time here. I have seen the most beautiful architecture. And the not-so-nice things … what I want is justice. I want my name to be cleared. Justice for all of us.”

We’ll see which way the pendulum swings after trial ends and the judges deliberate. A decision will probably be made by tomorrow, I would assume. So we’ll soon know if Kim Kardashian is patting herself on the lipo’d back or not, or if that crazy stan of A$AP’s will be storming more embassies.
