Jimmy Fallon Apologized For Doing Blackface On “Saturday Night Live”

I imagine Jimmy Fallon had a pretty bad day yesterday waking up to see himself in full blackface splashed all over Twitter. But hey, at least he got to wake up, so things could be worse. Not everyone is so lucky. And even though the hashtag #jimmyfallonisoverparty was trending, Jimmy proved he’s still got some fight left in him because he issued an apology addressing the re-resurfaced video of him doing blackface while impersonating Chris Rock in a SNL skit from 2000. You know, back when nobody knew it was wrong or harmful for white people to darken their skin for a cheap laugh at the expense of Black people’s dignity and humanity. Just kidding, Megyns, we’ve always known!

Al Roker Defended Himself Against Cries Of Hypocrisy For His “Today” Costume

As we saw yesterday, the Today show team dressed in an 80s theme with Al Roker donning a Dollar Store fright wig to portray Doc Brown (of the irony) from Back To The Future. Because we’re living in the upside down where grown men and women pretend to be dumber than a box of rocks (or in some cases just are), some folks cried that Al’s costume was racist. Le sigh. Yes, we are really still doing this. In response to the online criticism, Al #tooktotwitter to defend his right to play a character who was played by a white man in a movie about a time traveling car that runs on garbage.
