Garth Brooks is opening a new bar in Nashville’s Lower Broadway area. It’s called “Friends in Low Places Bar & Honky-Tonk,” and it’s scheduled to open this summer. Exciting news for country music fans! Or… is it? Cuz Deadline reports that, during a panel at Billboard Country Live this week, 61-year-old Garth revealed that his bar will sell “every brand of beer,” including Bud Light. Transphobes like Kid Rock and Travis Tritt are currently boycotting Bud Light for partnering with trans influencer Dylan Mulvaney. But Garth says people who come to his bar will “love one another,” and the assholes can go elsewhere. Daaaamn, do I like Garth Brooks? Also, which one is Garth Brooks? According to Google, not the one married to Faith Hill. Well, who da thunk it?
While in his Boy Ru drag, RuPaul took to the internet to finally roast Republicans for all of their anti-drag bills that have been put forth across America. And one of Ru’s solutions against those ridiculous bigoted bills is to vote, bitch!
Sam Smith Was Harassed On The Street By Far-Right Conspiracy Theorists Who Called Them “Demonic” And A “Pedophile”
The Advocate reports that a video of Sam Smith being harassed in New York has gone viral. The clip shows the 30-year-old singer minding their own business in Central Park, when a bunch of far-right homophobes/transphobes begin verbally assaulting them. A very angry woman screams at Sam to “leave the kids alone!” She calls them a “demonic, twisted, sick bastard”, and a “pedophile”. Another person shouts, “Groomer!” In the video, Sam pauses to film the harassers before walking away. Too bad they weren’t wearing their wacky inflatable black balloon costume from the BRIT Awards. Coulda bounced those conservative pricks into the next stratosphere. Continue reading
Ricky Gervais is defending the “taboo” (transphobic) jokes he made in his new Netflix special, SuperNature. Just five minutes into the stand-up special, Ricky takes aim at “the new women” (“the ones with beards and cocks”), using preferred pronouns, and trans women raping people in public bathrooms. Near the end of the show, he says that he actually supports trans rights, but “meet me halfway, ladies. Lose the cock.” Obviously the special has received a ton of backlash, which GLAAD describing it as“full of graphic, dangerous, anti-trans rants masquerading as jokes”. But Ricky doesn’t seem to mind. He went on BBC’s The One Show and said he deals in “taboo subjects.” He added that those who are offended by his comedy are mixing up “the subject of a joke with the actual target.” Translation: Ricky’s critics are dumb.
