Open Post: Hosted By Sam Smith’s Inflated Hefty Bag Outfit At The BRIT Awards

The Chinese spy balloon has made her grand debut on the red carpet! We all thought she was shot down, but in actuality she was preparing for her magnificent unveiling on Sam Smith’s body at the BRIT Awards.

Recently, Sam made conservative Christian heads spin at the Grammys for paying homage to the Dark Lord and having us relive the Satanic Panic of the 1980s during a performance of Unholy with Kim Petras. Sam and Kim did Unholy at the BRITs last night but decided to pay tribute to S&M mechanics instead:

And on the red carpet, Sam delivered the SHEIN version of Missy Elliott’s The Rain (Supa Dupa Fly) look. Move over, Hefty. Sam’s the hot new bin bag!

Werk that walk, Sam! The designer who worked on the inflatable costume explained that it represented more than just a garbage bag full of farts.

Harri, the designer behind the look, told WWD that the recent “hate comments” on social media against Smith and their body played a role in the outfit choice.

“Sam was having a lot of hate comments recently after ‘Unholy’ about [their] body image,” Harri said. “This is my take on celebrating [their] natural form and the beauty of being one’s self. I wanted to create an image which people have never seen Sam in.”

That’s cool and all, but I think we can see through this stunt. Sam was trying to distract us with FASHUN when, in reality, he was just smuggling CVS snacks into the BRITs! Those award ceremonies are long! You need a few bags of ill-gotten M&Ms and Raisinets to make it through.
