Kanye West Might Be Thinking Of Launching A Cosmetics Line

Before today, I didn’t know where Kanye West stood on cosmetics, besides the fact that he doesn’t like it on his child. If I had to guess what Kanye thought about makeup, based on past behavior, I probably would have assumed he’d say something like, “The only blinding highlight you need is the illumination from Jesus Christ’s glowing halo” or a confusing non-sequitur about eyebrows. Until today, the only contour I’d associate with Kanye is if he took his Sunday Service scam on the road. Get it? Con tour? The point here is that Kanye has filed a trademark update on his Yeezy brand to include beauty and skincare products.

66-Year-Old Woman Considers Launching Makeup Brand

Former Olympian, Caitlyn Jenner, who is also stunning and brave, has decided to possibly cash in on what her family is most famous for. No, it’s not a sex tape! Although, I’m sure that would do gangbusters if it were in theaters, pun intended. And no, she isn’t dating a black man. AND NO, her butt isn’t big. It’s makeup, silly!

According to TMZ, Kaitlyn (not a typo) and her people have filed paperwork trademarking her name for use in cosmetics. The application covers everything from makeup to fragrance to nail polish. If you’ll stroll down memory lane for a moment… In response to Diane Sawyer saying she hates wearing makeup and getting dressed up she said, “to me it’s new… You’ve been doing it for a while,” so she’s still having fun being girly. Makes sense she’d do cosmetics. It’s every girl’s dream to be the glamorous CEO of a makeup empire which she runs with a flawless face and firm hand. I’m hoping she models herself after Laurel Hedare, as played by Sharon Stone, in the cinematic masterpiece Catwoman.

There’s no word on the how, when and why of this endeavour, but considering how well Kardashian brand products do, especially the makeup, it’s wise of her to take this step. Teen girls everywhere who think Instagram is the human end game might not want makeup from a 66-year-old, but there’s a whole wide world out there and a cosmetics line from someone trans is very on point for the current climate and future. And I’m sure Caitlyn Jenner’s biggest fan Ricky Gervais has already placed a giant pre-order for his wife.
