According to Puck News, Zendaya has re-negotiated her Euphoria contract, and for the show’s upcoming third season, she will earn “close to” one million dollars an episode. Damn, just 26 years old and already making Friends final-two seasons money! For her performance as Rue, Zendaya has won a Critic’s Choice Award, a Golden Globe, and two Lead Actress in a Drama Series Emmys. And all while working in an allegedly “hellish” work environment with shooting days that can sometimes last up to 18 hours. So, good for her! HBO’s “The Last Of Us” Gave Linda Ronstadt’s “Long Long Time” The Kate Bush Bump
I did not grow up in a Linda Ronstadt home. When it came to female singers of the sixties and seventies, my family’s loyalties lay with Carole King, Joni Mitchell, Cass Elliot, and Karen Carpenter. Up until 40 hours ago, the only Linda Ronstadt song on my iTunes was her 1974 cover of “You’re No Good”. But that was 40 hours ago, aka “The Before Times.” “Before what?” some of you might be asking. Before Sunday night’s episode of The Last Of Us. In one emotional scene, Nick Offerman’s Bill plays Linda’s song “Long Long Time” on the piano for Murray Bartlett’s Frank. Linda’s version (released in 1970) is played at the end of the episode. Variety reports that, on Sunday night, “Long Long Time” was up 4,900% in Spotify streams. HBO Max’s “Velma” Is Getting Dragged By Critics And Viewers
Last year, it was announced that Mindy Kaling would produce and star in Velma, an adult cartoon re-imagining of Scooby-Doo (sans Scooby Doo) with Velma Dinkley in the main role. OK, sure! Welp, Velma finally premiered on HBO Max last Friday, and the reaction from audiences and critics alike was… not good. Forbes reports that it has a low-for-HBO-Max score of 55% on Rotten Tomatoes and an embarrassing audience score of just 7%. And before you say, “Oh, is this because they made Velma Indian-American like Mindy? RACISTS!!!!”, that’s actually not the main reason people are hating on Velma. Sure, there are the usual bigot trolls, but the show’s mainly getting backlash because a) it’s not funny (based on the five minutes I watched to write this article, I co-sign this opinion), and, b) some think its “edgy”/”woke” jokes are actually offensive. Too bad the holidays are over; both liberal and conservative family members could’ve bonded over their Velma hate.

The Game of Thrones spin-off prequel series, House of the Dragon, was renewed for a second season. But one of the two showrunners, Miguel Sapochnik, is not going to be returning, and while it was first reported to be an amicable split, now there is rumored to be some actual drama, honey. Nobody’s family got killed Red Wedding-style, but shit allegedly got messy after HBO refused to let Miguel’s wife–who already got a job on season 1 of the show thanks to him–a producer credit on the second season. Meghann Fahy And Leo Woodall Of “The White Lotus” Might Be Dating

Meghann Fahy gave us so much in the most recent season of The White Lotus: a perfectly nuanced performance as the rich, glamorous Daphne, who knows about her husband’s side-cake and enjoys her trainer slice too; a perfect bookend as we discover that the body she found in the first episode ended up being Jennifer Coolidge’s Tanya in the last episode; and the shocking revelation that there’s actually a 17th way to spell the name “Meghann.” Even though The White Lotus has been renewed for a third season, no one knows if any of the previous members of the cast will pull up to the dock of a different White Lotus Resort in the next scandalous season. But, Instagram Detective Latoyas have noticed that Meghann and Leo Woodall, who played Jack, may now be doing each other in real life. However, they were pretty much the only two characters to not do each other in Sicily.
