Open Post: Hosted By Mariah Carey’s Virtual Cookies
Earlier this year Mariah Carey served her heart up on a platter with her memoir The Making of Mariah Carey. It was obvious she worked really hard on it (no really, she did! I totally know her now) so you’ll have to excuse her if she’s spent. With the Mariahdays in full festive swing, Mariah doesn’t have the time or energy to spare to personally oversee every aspect of her empire which is perhaps why Mariah’s cookies look so busted. The New York Daily News reports, and this might even be news to Mariah, that she’s offering a “virtual cookie line,” just in time for National Cookie Day, which is, oh shit, tomorrow! She better get cracking because the website still says “coming soon.”
Some Conservatives Got Pissed About Chips Ahoy!’s Mother’s Day Ad Starring Miss Vanjie
In news that shouldn’t be news, Chips Ahoy! used Vanessa Vanjie Mateo in a Mother’s Day message/ad, which makes sense since “cookies” are her thing, but it’s made some conservatives very triggered. Twitter is now filled with people who are getting upset about cookies and drag queens. You know, because getting upset about cookies and drag queens seems like a solid use of one’s time. Let’s take two super fun things and ruin them! I bet these people are fun at parties!
Who Hid The Hydrox? Hydrox Cookies Declares War On Rival Cookie Oreo
When you were a kid, did you ever ask your mom to bring back some delicious Hydrox cookies from the store and she showed up with some busted ass, knock off Oreos instead? No? Me neither, but it has happened the other way around. However, according to Food & Wine, Hydrox thinks Oreo is to blame for their diminished status in the cream-like centered, chocolate-ish cookie sandwich market, and not the fact that they look and taste generic as fuck and people looking for a prestige cookie experience, will always look elsewhere. Just the same, Hydrox is declaring war against its “rival” Oreo, and claims the company has been using underhanded tactics to push their brand off the shelves.
