Letitia Wright Was Injured While Filming “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever”

August 26, 2021 / Posted by:

Black Panther star Letitia Wright has wisely kept herself out of the headlines by keeping her mouth shut and staying off social media ever since getting dragged to hell and back last December for posting some anti-vaxx quackery on Twitter. Unfortunately, fate stepped in and Letitia’s in the news again, though this time through no fault of her own. According to Deadline, Letitia had to be rushed to the hospital last night after being injured on the set of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Thankfully she only received minor injuries and has already been released from the hospital. But her accident let the small domesticated panther out of the bag because now we know that Letitia is in fact returning as Shuri despite previous speculation that the addition of Michaela Coel to the cast may destroy her (odds of coming back after the shit she stirred).

Michaela Coel Has Been Cast In “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” And Some Think She Might Replace Letitia Wright

July 22, 2021 / Posted by:

Variety reports that Michaela Coel, the nearly universally beloved creator and star of the series I May Destroy You, has been cast in Wakanda Forever, the sequel to Marvel’s Black Panther. No word on who she will be playing but also who cares? Do you know how hard it is to be nearly universally beloved? In this economy?! Kevin also confirmed that the studio has no intention of recasting Chadwick’s role of T’Challa in the upcoming Black Panther sequel.

We were still struggling to cope with the dump truck fire that has been 2020 (and like, the dump truck had a ton of used diapers and raw meat in the back) when we learned of the passing of Chadwick Boseman last night at the ridiculously young age of 43, after a private battle with colon cancer. Now, Hollywood and the rest of the world are reacting to the news and sharing stories of their experiences working with him.

“Black Panther” Made History At The This Year’s SAG Awards

January 28, 2019 / Posted by:

The Screen Actors Guild Awards has always reminded me of a school assembly where the students give a huge middle finger to all of their teachers and honor each other while getting hammered in the cafeteria. Therefore, it’s one of my favorite awards shows of the season and last night it became the real MVP when it honored the mega-successful Black Panther with the Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture award. And why is this important? Because winning this award makes Black Panther the first superhero movie, especially one from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, to EVER receive that honor. You know what I say to that? WAKANDA FOREVER BITCH!
