TMZ is reporting a huge heaping of sad this morning: star of the eternally ridiculous yet somehow always elegant Young & The Restless, Kristoff St. John was found dead at his home yesterday.
Morgan Freeman Got Blamed In Court For His Step-Granddaughter’s Death
So it’s been a minute since this was in the headlines, but you’ll probably remember the familiar sensation of your skin crawling as you read this and it’ll all come back to you.
Voice-over god, who once actually played God, Morgan Freeman, was surrounded by rumors that he was going to marry his step-grand daughter E’Dena Hines back in 2009, whom he had raised with his first wife since childhood. That (thankfully) never happened, but something awful did happen in 2015. E’Dena was found stabbed to death on the streets of NYC with her ex standing over her body, screaming incoherently. In case that wasn’t enough to make your skin ask for a ticket on the first plane off your body, we have an update: E’Dena’s killer has been sentenced. And the hearing brought out close friends: Ick and Drama.
The One And Only Carol Channing Has Died
Theater queens and anybody who appreciates one-of-a-kind raw talent is putting on their sequined red mourning veil today and sadly singing, “Goodbye, Dolly.” There’s a very good reason for why it’s overcast and gloomy everywhere today (if you looked out your window and see sunshine, it’s just a mirage, shut up), because the world has lost a burst of bedazzled sunshine with a dollop of platinum hair on top. Sometimes when a legend dies, I say, “I didn’t think this was possible,” but this time I really mean it, and scientists are pushing all of their projects to the side to study how is it possible that the original Queen of Broadway Carol Channing, who we all thought would live until the bulb in the sun went out, died. But sadly for the world, Carol Channing died early this morning of natural causes. She would have turned 98 on January 31.
Kim Porter Has Died At 47
In some horrible wrapped in tragic wrapped in ten pounds of sad news, Kim Porter (pictured above this past June in San Francisco) died today at her home in Toluca Lake, CA. She was only 47.
Kim was a model and actor. She was mostly known to us as the mother of Diddy’s three children: 20-year-old Christian twin daughters D’Lila Star and Jessie James. D’Lila and Jessie are just 11 years old, which adds another forty five hundred layers of sadness on top of this. Kim and Diddy were together on-and-off for 13 years. They split up for good in 2007. Kim also had a 27-year-old son named Quincy with Al. B. Sure!
TMZ got a hold of emergency dispatch audio, which claims that a patient was going into cardiac arrest. Just yesterday, Kim had reportedly called her doctor about how she was sick with possibly pneumonia and wasn’t feeling better. Sources say that Kim had been sick for weeks. Diddy’s rep issued a statement confirming Kim’s death:
“Sadly, I can confirm the passing of Kim Porter. I ask that you give the families privacy at this time.”
Kim posted on Instagram during the past few weeks, and posted this picture of her with her family at the premiere of The Holiday Calendar, which Quincy is in, on October 30.

Rest in peace, Kim.

We Are Now Living In A World Without The Queen Of Soul (And Everything Else) Aretha Franklin
Just a few days after Aretha Franklin’s family and publicist confirmed the soul-breaking news that she was getting ready to travel to the heavens to fill the ears of the angels with her legendary voice and legendary charisma (and legendary shade skills), her publicist says she died at her home from advanced pancreatic cancer in Detroit last night.
“In one of the darkest moments of our lives, we are not able to find the appropriate words to express the pain in our heart. We have lost the matriarch and rock of our family. The love she had for her children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins knew no bounds.”
Aretha was surrounded by her friends and family at the time. She was 76.
We knew this awful news was coming, but I was still hoping that Queen Aretha would miraculously pop up out of bed, and say, “Get me a pen, some paper, and a carrier pigeon, because I need to let Dionne Warwick how I really feel this time,” before booking a world tour. So my heart free fell and is living in my foot now.
Aretha Franklin’s Family Says She’s “Gravely Ill” And They’re Asking For Prayers
When I woke up to the shitty awful news that Queen Aretha Franklin is quite possibly lying on her death bed and is about to make earth a much worse place (and heaven a much better place), I nearly pulled the sheets over my head and put in an Instacart order to deliver the biggest bottle of vodka available at Costco directly to my bed. Because there’s not a day when I can deal with the news that Aretha Franklin is “gravely ill.” But it’s true and Queen Aretha’s family is asking for prayers, so jump out of bed, slap on the no-budget version of Aretha’s Obama inauguration hat you made with felt and old Barbie earrings, and grab your neighbor’s hand to form the largest prayer circle the planet can take. Don’t say a little prayer, say a lot of prayer.
Showbiz411 says that the Queen of Soul, Shade, Glamour and everything else is in a bad, bad, bad way in Detroit. Evrod Cassimy, an anchor for Detroit’s WDIV TV confirmed the awful news through her family and he says they’ve asked the people to pray for her.
