Jamie Spears Speaks Out And Says That Britney’s Conservatorship Saved Her Life

December 18, 2022 / Posted by:

A Spears family member has spoken out. And it’s not Jamie Lynn via reality TV show or Britney with a thousand smiley face/knife emojis on Instagram. It’s the patriarch of the Spears clan himself: Jamie Spears! We haven’t heard much from Jamie outside of comments from the family’s legal battle and Britney’s warm wish that her father enjoys a lovey Sunday roast. Unable to keep silent, Jamie has finally spoken “for the first time in a decade” with The Mail on Sunday. Followers of the pop star’s social media presence, prepare yourselves. Hell hath no fury like a Brit Brit scorned!

After being released from her 13-year conservatorship that Jamie headed, Britney and her father have been embroiled in an ongoing legal fight regarding his potentially shady activities while he was in charge. For a 70-year-old, Jamie showed himself to be quite limber as he’s been duckin’ and dodgin’ a deposition all while trying to depose Britney herself. Being the target of his daughter and her fans’ ire, Jamie thought that speaking out might clear his name. The chance of this working is as likely as Britney renouncing Starbucks Frapps. via Deadline:

Jamie Spears told the Mail that his conservatorship actions were done only to save his daughter during her most troubled times. He claimed that not only did he prevent her ruination, but that he kept her relationships together with sons Preston and Jayden.

Not sure Jamie is the go-to guy when it comes to building healthy relationships but ok.

Jamie Spears said of those times that he isn’t “going to paint no pretty pictures.” But he said the actions were necessary.

“Not everybody’s going to agree with me,” Jamie Spears said. “It’s been one hell of a time. But I love my daughter with all my heart and soul. Where would Britney be right now without that conservatorship? And I don’t know if she’d be alive. I don’t.

“For protecting her, and also protecting the kids, conservatorship was a great tool. Without it, I don’t think she would have got the kids back.” The two teenage boys live with their father, Kevin Federline, and have recently stayed away from their mother.

Jamie Spears now lives with his other daughter, Britney’s younger sister Jamie Lynn, in rural Louisiana. He has no contact with Britney, nor does Jamie, who has also been condemned on social media by her sister.

When you gotta go deeeeep into the deep south to stay safe, you’ve definitely done something monumentally wrong! Jamie went on to say that he basically raised Britney’s sons Preston and Jayden alongside Kevin Federline and that all decisions were made by him, his associate, and Kevin. He also claims that, if not for the conservatorship, Britney would be as broke as he will be once Britney’s legal team is through with him!

The court arrangements also helped Britney rebuild her finances, Jamie claimed, saying his daughter “was broke. She had no money whatsoever. The conservatorship set a resource where she could get back financially. And, you know, we worked – and she worked – and she got herself straight up financially.”

The conservatorship period saw Spears releasing four albums, doing three world tours, and staging a two-year residency in Las Vegas, which helped rebuild her fortune.

“The conservatorship allowed the finances to be better,” Jamie says. “My understanding of a conservatorship is to help someone regain their life and return back to society, and to be able to live normally. I want to say that I made a difference. There were a few people behind me that really helped bring it to a point where we could help her.”

He concluded his statements by saying that people don’t know the full truth, but he won’t say anything more for the risk of sending his daughter “further down the hole.” How very thoughtful of him. Air out his laundry list of grievances via one of the largest tabloid publications in the world but keep it modest! Britney has yet to remark but there’s a big chance that she’s penning an emoji/expletive-riddled thinkpiece complete with a twirl video of rage as we speak.
