Kanye West Says He Understands How London Feels Since He “Lost His Queen Too”

Now that Kanye West fancies himself an anglophile inspired by THE QUEEN’S passing to (temporarily) release all of his grudges, he had to grace London Fashion Week with his presence. Despite many people holding a grudge against wearing flip-flops with socks outside of the house, Ye showed up to a runway show on Monday serving us “mom screamed at you to bring the groceries in from the car immediately and this was the only foot covering by the back door.” And if the footwear wasn’t enough to get the Brits talking, Ye also whipped up an Instagram Story the night before presumably equating either Kim Kardashian divorcing him or the loss of his mom, Donda West, to the UK losing their queen.

TMZ says that Ye decided to forgo his usual footwear and rolled up to a Burberry show wearing the flops with bedazzlement that may or may not be real diamonds.

Ye — dressed in black leather pants with a black leather jacket and hoodie — made his way into The Burberry Spring/Summer 2023 show in Bermondsey Monday. It’s the first time in a while we’ve seen Kanye with anything other than black boots or Yeezys on his feet.

Instead, he wore a pair of black flip-flops with socks … and a diamond trim. Ye doesn’t usually wear anything flashy, even jewelry, so the diamonds are certainly a new look … whether real or not.

Kanye recently apologized to Kim for his stress-inducing social media fuckery, but these flops seem to indicate that more of his fashion-design fuckery may be afoot. Perhaps he should ingratiate himself to Daniel Cherry again so he can work alongside Adidas’ designers because “Claire’s flip-flops included in a 2008 bridesmaids’ hotel welcome basket” ain’t it.

And while pivoting away from his usual tall, black heartily-soled boots to this new delicate look without explanation, Ye also gave taking off his messy social media boots a try by saying that he knows how the sadness of losing a queen feels. via Entertainment Tonight:

Kanye “Ye” West says he can feel the pain of the people in the U.K — following the death of Queen Elizabeth II. On Sunday, the “Touch the Sky” rapper took to his Instagram to share how much he can relate to their loss.

“LONDON I KNOW HOW YOU FEEL I LOST MY QUEEN TOO,” the 45-year-old GRAMMY-winning rapper wrote on his Instagram stories.

Here’s that:

Kanye left the story open to interpretation, probably so he can use it to his advantage. If single Kim sees it, he might score some points with her. If Kim gets him heated and hooks up with someone else he disapproves of, he can say she was never his queen and he was referring to his beloved Mom, Donda. Either way, all of England surely uttered a collective “for fuck’s sake.

Kim? Donda? Both WRONG,” growled Kris Jenner as she stood on her balcony in silk pajamas and bedazzled flip-flops overlooking a sleepy Calabasas. “Kris Jong-Un is your one and only ruler.
