Diddy And Swizz Beatz Join Kanye West In His Adidas Boycott

Kanye West has been locked in a very erratic yet contentious battle with Adidas since accusing them of ripping off his Yeezy slides for their own cheaper brand called Adilette. But, if we’re being completely honest nobody should ever want to take credit for either because they are an abomination to all feet and should be tossed into a time capsule we’ll open fifty years later asking “What the fuck were we thinking?” And since Kanye’s symphony of whines sounds better with the help of friends, both Diddy and Swizz Beatz are hopping on the Adidas Banned-wagon to enlist supporters on this crusade against injustice.

Page Six reports Yeezy has been on quite the tirade in his efforts to expose Adidas for infringing upon his creative genius. He has been very vocal about his disappointment with the similarities between his Yeezy slides and the bargain bin Adilette version as well as Adidas constantly leaving him out of important conversations regarding his brand. In an attempt to bring awareness to this plight of the 1% he even called out Adidas creative director Alasdhair Willis for his part in their feud, then hours later shared a post on Instagram where he basically took back what he said earlier. It’s always high school time with Kanye, and now he’s getting some back-up from the captains of his cheer squad Swizz and Diddy, with Diddy leading the charge.

In a text message screenshot posted separately on both Diddy and West’s Instagram accounts, Diddy told the “Gold Digger” artist, “please can [sic] send me something I could post in support of you! I never wear Adidas again for the rest of my life if they don’t make you right!!!!”

West — legally known as Ye — replied, “Praise God Love you.”

Diddy posted the exchange with Yeezy on Twitter and even threw a little history-lesson flavored shade at Adidas for good measure.

There’s nothing I love more than richies reaching out to the public to fight their battles when at the end of the day, they will all still be rich and we’ll all be paying too much for their wares. The irony around that concept truly tickles me. But someone who isn’t tickled is Swizz Beatz, who also agrees with Diddy and Yeezy. Swizz took a moment to scold Adidas as well, and wanted to remind everyone that at the base of this boycott is a man who 100% deserves all the credit for inflicting these ugly shoes into our world like a demon from Pandora’s box.

Music producer and rapper Swizz Beatz also shared his support of West, posting the ex’d out shoes with a caption reading, “I usually mind my business but this is DEAD WRONG! If we let them do this to @kanyewest it will happen to us also!”

“This man created this groundbreaking innovation and it should be respected as a creative ! YE is only asking for his work to be respected and not stolen that’s not crazy to me !!” he continued.

I love that Swizz ended his post with the resounding war cry of “We Not Buying These!” but he could have kept that part to himself. Because judging by how ugly these shoes are we were never buying them in the first place.
