Chrissy Teigen Is Pregnant Again

After it was revealed that chronic social media over-sharer, Chrissy Teigen, had also been an evil cyberbully/troll over several years and to several people including Michael Costello, Courtney Stodden, and Lindsay Lohan (see: here, here, and here); it was a relief for this divided nation in the throes of an unprecedented pandemic to have one person that we all could root against and agree sucked hard. She apologized for being evil and then for a while alternated between staying off social media and tiptoeing back in just to remind us all that she existed. Then in September 2020, when she announced that at 20 weeks pregnant she gave birth to and lost the baby she had been carrying. Chrissy also shared that she and her husband, John Legend, had named the child Jack. Since then, she’s stayed mostly controversy-free and mostly under-the-radar, up until yesterday when she took to Instagram to share that 22 months after losing Jack, she’s pregnant again after undergoing IVF treatments.

People reported that Chrissy announced her fourth pregnancy yesterday evening. She and John are already parents to a daughter and son: Luna, 6, and Miles, 4.

On Wednesday, the model, 36, announced on Instagram that she is pregnant with the couple’s fourth child after undergoing IVF alongside photos of her baby bump. In the pictures, she is sporting a crop top and lace underwear.

Here’s the announcement:

As any woman who’s pregnant after enduring a loss would, she expressed that she’s feeling anxious and apprehensive.

“Every appointment I’ve said to myself, ‘ok if it’s healthy today I’ll announce’ but then I breathe a sigh of relief to hear a heartbeat and decide I’m just too nervous still,” she added. “I don’t think I’ll ever walk out of an appointment with more excitement than nerves but so far, everything is perfect and beautiful and I’m feeling hopeful and amazing. Ok phew it’s been very hard keeping this in for so long!”

Chrissy has seemingly been trying to get pregnant again for a while. Back in February, she’d posted on her Instagram about being in the middle of IVF treatments which had been leaving her bloated. She asked that people please STOP ASKING IF SHE’S PREGNANT and STOP ASKING ANY WOMAN IF THEY’RE PREGNANT–which shouldn’t have to be said, but it was refreshing for her to say something of value for once since some people just can’t help their daft selves commenting on the body shape or reproductive goings-on of others.

Congratulations to Chrissy and John! In Chrissy’s announcement post, she already looks kind of ready for the immediate aftermath of pregnancy when women are exhaustedly clutching their newborns and resigned to wearing mesh underwear with an ice pack tucked inside to keep all of our insides from falling out or whatever. Except she’s got some cute black Gucci ones and us normies are sporting the huge, clinically white monstrosities that we’ve pillaged from the drawers of our hospital rooms and shoved into our going-home bags when the nurse wasn’t looking. Motherhood is so glamorous.
