Kid Cudi Ended His Set At Rolling Loud Early After Kanye West Fans Threw Water Bottles At Him (And Yes, Kanye Made An Appearance At The Festival Too)

The messiness between mess maestro Kanye West and Kid Cudi made its way to the Rolling Loud Miami music festival last night when Kanye fans pulled a move straight out of their idol’s playbook by throwing a hissy fit. Kanye West was announced as the original headliner of Rolling Loud Miami but just a week ago, Kanye did what he did to Coachella and dropped out at the last minute. Kid Cudi stepped into the open headlining slot, and that caused some Kanye fans to demand a refund. Well, I guess they didn’t get that refund and woke up yesterday and chose violence (literally). Because Kid Cudi was forced to hit the QUIT THIS BITCH button on his set early after Kanye fans kept throwing and hitting him with water bottles. And around the same time that Kid Cudi was run off the stage by assholes, the STUNT QUEEN of destruction himself, Kanye West, made a surprise appearance on a different stage at Rolling Loud.

Kid Cudi was supposed to feature on Kanye’s album, Donda 2, but then Kanye pulled some juvenile “you can’t come to my slumber party if you’re friends with that bitch Brianna” shit when he announced in February that he dropped Cudi from the album because of Cudi’s friendship with Kim Kardashian’s piece Pete Davidson. Cudi hit back, saying that they talked about that “issue” weeks before and Kanye is only changing his tune “for a look on the internet.” And before breaking up as friends with Kanye, Cudi spit at him with, “Too bad I don’t wanna be on ur album u fuckin dinosaur hahahaha. Everyone knows I’ve been the best thing about ur albums since I met u. Ima pray [for you] brother.

Consequence of Sound says that early on into Kid Cudi’s Rolling Loud Miami set last night, Kanye fans booed him and chanted Kanye’s name. You know, because doing that makes more sense than just turning around and going off to another stage to see a performer they actually want to see. Cudi finally had enough when someone threw a water bottle and it hit him in the fucking face. Cudi gave the crowd a warning, letting the asshole bottle throwers know that if they throw one more thing at him, he’s ending the show. Well, they must have asked themselves, “What would Kanye do?”, because they threw another water bottle at Cudi like the brats they are. And so Cudi kept his promise, dropped the mic (and not in a good way), and left:

Hopefully, Cudi found the professional blunt roller he’s been looking for because he probably needed a big fat one after that disaster.

And right around the time that mess was happening, Kanye showed up during Lil Durk’s set. They performed Father Stretch My Hands, Pt. 1, which is on Kanye’s album Life of Pablo and contains vocals by Kid Cudi. A total coincidence, I’m sure.

So let’s see, Kanye dropped out of Rolling Loud Miami, was replaced by his friend-turned-rival Kid Cudi, Cudi was harrassed off the stage by Kanye fans, and then Kanye showed up at a different stage to perform a song he’s done with Cudi. Hmmm, now I’m not saying this was a petty set-up orchestrated by Kanye, but I am saying that somewhere, Kanye’s estranged ghoul-in-law Pimp Mama Kris (or Kris Jong-Un as Kanye calls her) is probably taking all the credit while proudly thinking, “I taught him well.”
