Doja Cat Called Out “Stranger Things” Star Noah Schnapp For Blowing Up Her Spot When He Shared Their DMs About Joseph Quinn

Doja Cat has been having a decent year; she won some Billboard Music Awards and a Grammy, she got to be the warblin’ harbinger of the return of Taco Bell’s Mexican Pizza, and she quit vaping so her stank tonsils wouldn’t quit her. What else could she want? Some Stranger Things dick, that’s what. So Doja got to work trying to acquire said dick the best way she knew how: by DMing a teen actor on Instagram to connect her to her (legal) dick of choice. 26-year-old Doja seemingly fancies 29-year-old Joseph Quinn, who plays the role of Eddie Munson in Stranger Things, but Doja couldn’t find Joseph’s socials, so instead she messaged 17-year-old Noah Schnapp (who plays Will Byers on the show and is Joseph’s co-star) to figure out how to contact Joseph. After Doja and Noah’s exchange, Noah shared their private DMs in a since-deleted TikTok without Doja’s permission, leaving her so heated that she took to Instagram Live to give Noah the bizness.

According to Page Six, it all started early one day (or late one night, depending on what this trick was doing) at 5:34 A.M. when Doja decided to DM Noah asking him to tell Joseph to hit her up.

The “Say So” singer, 26, messaged the 17-year-old actor, who plays Will Byers in the hit Netflix show, asking him to set her up with his co-star Joseph Quinn, 29, who plays Eddie Munson.

“Noah can you tell Joseph to hit me up,” she wrote, adding, “Wait no. does he have a gf?”

“LMAOO slide into his dms,” Schnapp wrote back, but the “Woman” rapper revealed she couldn’t find Quinn’s account on any social media platform. Schnapp then sent her a link to the actor’s Instagram account.

On a positive note, Doja having to find someone younger to help her with a tech issue is the first time she’s ever been relatable. Here’s their exchange; open the photo to see Noah calling Doja “ma’am,” which is fitting when you’re 17 and talking to a 26-year-old woman, and should have provided Doja with a moment of clarity, but alas, did not:

To those who follow Doja, it’s no surprise that she’s had her eye on Joseph since she tweeted about her attraction to him as soon as Stranger Things season 4 dropped:

So when Noah spilled the DM beans like anyone would expect and showed the world Doja’s thirst, it doesn’t seem like it would be that big of a deal considering that she already very publicly declared her attraction to Joseph. But, evidently, Doja felt wronged by Noah, because she decided that a high school boy who’s spent most of his adolescence in a bubble on a hit TV show set should have more discretion when it comes to the business of setting up a grown-ass woman with a grown-ass man (who could have contacted her back in May if he was interested when she initially tweeted, but didn’t, so maybe take a hint, lady).

But things went awry when Schnapp jokingly posted his exchange with the rapper in a now-deleted video on TikTok, sharing the private messages she had sent him with over 30 million fans.

“I think that to be fair, first let’s be chill about it. Like Noah is a kid, but, I don’t even know how old he is, but he’s not even over – like there’s no way he’s over 21,” the rapper said in an Instagram Live video on Thursday. “But when you’re that young, you make mistakes.”

Branding Schnapp as “unbelievably socially unaware and whack,” the rapper revealed she felt violated having her private messages exposed to the world.

“Maybe he is, like a whole snake. But I didn’t see him that way,” she told fans. “I made an assumption that he was gonna be chill about it and he went and shared information that I didn’t feel comfortable with him sharing.”

Even even though Doja was having a good year, going HAM on a minor for not keeping a secret that wasn’t specified as a secret may set her back a bit. Toss this snafu on her mile-high pile of hijinks that include throwing a tantrum about being done with music foreva because people were mean to her, getting COVID after making fun of people concerned about COVID, and dabbling in white supremacy. Noah hasn’t responded, which shows that he has more maturity in his unfortunate Will Byers bowl-cut than Doja has ever had in her damn-near 30 years of life, and Joseph hasn’t said anything either, which is probably for the best when you’re dealing with this brand of delusion.
