Doja Cat Announces That She’s Done With Music After Fighting With Pissed-Off Fans

Doja Cat says she’s quitting the music business after getting criticized by fans for not showing them enough appreciation. Doja was supposed to perform in Paraguay earlier this week, but the shows got canceled because of the weather. And when she dipped without giving her fans in Paraguay any attention, they turned on her. Now Doja says she’s going to drift off into the sunset and quit music. Well, to be fair, she did release undoubtedly the best song of her career with that Taco Bell jingle, so this seems like a good place to stop.
Doja Cat was supposed to perform at Paraguay’s Asunción festival on Tuesday and Wednesday but that didn’t happen due to unexpected flooding. HotNewHipHop says that Doja explained the situation on Twitter after people got mad at her for leaving Paraguay so quickly and not greeting fans who waited outside of her hotel in the rain.
“There was a storm in Paraguay, the show got canceled. When I left the next morning, there wasn’t one person outside the hotel waiting for me. Let that sink in,” wrote Doja in a since-deleted tweet. The post was in response to a fan who told her dozens of people were waiting outside her hotel in the rain to greet the pop-rap star. “I regret spending all the time I did getting ready that day for the show I’ve been busting my ass every day to put on for you but god bless.”
Doja performed in Brazil last night and afterward, she apologized to fans since she didn’t think her show was that great:
I don’t think I gave Brazil a good enough show tonight at all and I’m sorry for that but thank you guys for coming out I fucking love you and thank god we got another show tomorrow I promise I’ll do better. 💕🇧🇷

This angered her Paraguayan fans even more and some continued to drag her. Doja then announced her retirement from music:
“I’m not sorry,” she said in response to being called Paraguay’s #1 enemy. “I’m not taking pictures again with anybody else after this tour,” she then said in response to her fans.
I’m not sorry

Some fans also got very racist with Doja:
this selective outrage is so funny to me because this is what y’all tweeting but expecting us to feel bad 😭 pic.twitter.com/iKfxCcGilj

Yikes! Doja Cat is not about racism… anymore. As you can see, Doja changed her screen name to “I quit” but methinks she did not really quit because TMZ says that she’s still planning to perform tonight at Lollapalooza Brasil:
A source close to Doja tells TMZ she still plans to perform tonight in Brazil and “she’s looking forward to it.”
This is a mess all around. And if the Doja Kittens (that’s what Doja Cat fans call themselves, right?) are trying to be the messiest fandom since the Little Monsters, they may be on their way to achieving that goal!
