Chrissy Teigen Says She’s “Grown And Learned” From Her Bullying Scandal

Well, it looks like the Cancel Club has one less member because Chrissy Teigen is back from her self-imposed timeout and better than ever! The proof? Well…she said she’s a better person during an interview to promote her latest cookbook, Cravings: All Together. Chrissy sat down for her first official interview since Courtney Stodden reminded everyone that Chrissy once told them to die on Twitter. Chrissy swung by The TODAY Show to tell Hoda Kotb all about how she’s grown as a person since she was outed as a DM monster.

Chrissy had been working on her third cookbook since last year, and it was just released this week, because I guess her publicist told her that enough time had passed since the mass Cravings-based product exodus, and she better get working on her public redemption tour if she wanted push cookbooks and cash in on those lucrative holiday season dollars. The real reason for the season was Chrissy’s public assurance that it is okay to like her again. via People magazine:

“For me it was a big moment of like, ‘Wow, I need to find out how I can be better, how I can grow from this, learn from this. There’s that old cliché of ‘I’m glad it happened,’ but truly it made me a stronger person. A better person. That’s when I went sober, I went clean – I’m actually 100 days sober today and I’m, like, so excited, yeah. I feel so good. I feel clearheaded.”

“I feel like I’ve done the work, and I hope these people can forgive and be able to welcome the fact that hopefully they’ve seen me be better,” said Teigen.

Hoda brought up that Chrissy had previously apologized to the people she wronged, and Chrissy added that she continued to apologize. But, you know, to the people who actually wanted to talk to her and didn’t immediately get the chills when they saw the name “Teigen, Chrissy” show up on the call display.

“Having this period of time to digest it all and to look back and to realize that honestly there is always so much time to grow and to learn and to become more empathetic. I look at my kids and I look at what I want their value to be and how I want them to treat people, and to see that in myself, that I wasn’t doing that was – the hardest part for me was realizing, ‘My goodness, this really had an affect on people.’ I think about how much I’ve changed just in the past year, how much I’ve grown and learned, and then to think of that in the term of a lifetime, how much room there is to always know more and be better.”

Well, all that’s nice for Chrissy, but real growth would be staying away from all social media drama and choosing to use the power of the internet in a way that harms nobody’s feelings. You know, by using it to search for dick pics.
