Surprise! Macaulay Culkin And Brenda Song Just Welcomed A Baby

April 12, 2021 / Posted by:

In an Esquire cover story last February, Macaulay Culkin told us he and his girlfriend Brenda Song were trying for a baby, but he also told us he prefers to be called “Mack” so I pretty much put the whole thing out of my mind because I’m not doing that. Plus considering that years ago Brenda allegedly pretended to be pregnant by Trace Cyrus, who ranks BELOW NOAH, I simply could not take it seriously. But now, according to Esquire, while Macaulay may have been kidding about preferring the name Mack, and I sincerely hope that he was, he was deadly serious about becoming a dad. Brenda and Macaulay just had a surprise baby boy named Dakota Song Culkin. Well, a surprise to us. I presume Brenda was expecting. For real this time!

Esquire reports:

And now, some joy: Last week, Macaulay Culkin and his partner, Brenda Song, became the elated parents of a healthy baby.

… Their private universe has a new center, a son: Dakota Song Culkin, born Monday, April 5 at 1:10 p.m., in Los Angeles, weighing 6 pounds, 14 ounces. Song is healthy.

Dakota, the first child for both actors, is named in honor of Culkin’s sister Dakota, who died in 2008.

The couple released only this statement to Esquire after the birth: “We’re overjoyed.”

Here’s the type of hi-jinks we can expect from Macaulay & Son. Here he is practicing with a stunt baby.

And here’s Brenda practicing with a real baby for once!

The couple hasn’t shared any photos of Dakota yet so we’re just going to have to take their word for it. In addition to those pregnancy rumors from 2011, we still haven’t seen definitive proof that Macaulay isn’t Blanket Jackson’s biological father as reported in The Sun back in 2009! Dakota will join the couple’s animal family which consists of “three cats, a few fish, a Shiba Inu, and a blue-headed pionus, which is a parrot.
