Salma Hayek Says That Hilaria Baldwin “Fooled” Her And We All “Lie A Little Bit”
Hillary/Hilaria Baldwin getting exposed for being a faux Spaniard with a faux Spanish accent was truly one of the more remarkable moments of 2020. Hilaria tried to do a little more damage control with an interview that told us really nothing. And even though Hilaria lost at least one brand partnership, some came to her defense like her husband Alec Baldwin. Actual Spanish rose Charo also had a laugh about it and didn’t think Hilaria did anything wrong. And now Salma Hayek, who’s worked with Alec several times, has given her thoughts and said that Hilaria fooled her.
Entertainment Tonight says that Salma was on with Andy Cohen for his SiriusXM show, Radio Andy, and talked about the “crazy” story of Hilaria’s invented Spanish heritage. She admitted it was a “bizarre story” but it’s clear that Salma has no ill-will toward Hilaria and is “cool” with her:
“We all lie a little bit. She makes my friend happy. She fooled me because she’s such a good mother and she has five of them. And you know, I don’t care.”
In fact, Salma said she was “proud” that Hilaria would want her “alter ego” to be Spanish. LMAOOOOO! “Alter ego!” Hilaria was out here with her Spanish accent playing pretend! I know Salma isn’t trying to drag her but LOL:
“…I am Mexican and Lebanese, but my grandparents, my ancestors on my mother’s side are Spanish. I think she’s smart to want to be Spanish. …We all create our own character in life. I mean, this might be extreme. …She’s not a bad person. …She makes my friend happy. She’s very kind to me, and that’s all I care about… And Spanish people are cool. I don’t blame her for choosing that.”

This wasn’t an “alter ego.” This was Hilaria’s whole ass life. But yes, that’s what happened here–Hilaria let her alter ego get so big she literally forgot she wasn’t actually Spanish. I mean, somehow Tori Spelling‘s drunk public urinating alter ego, Terri, is actually less offensive than “Hilaria.”
